A wake up call for parents everywhere!!
I just finished reading the excellent book Save Our Schools...and America too. It shocked me to learn that our public school curriculum has not materially changed in 125 years, and that our country is teaching our children 20th century skills in a 21st century world. It angered me to learn that more than half of public school students live in poverty and have little to no chance to succeed. And I got so upset when I learned about what our kids’ lives are like today outside of school -- as the result of too much technology and reality TV and bullying and lack of self-esteem and anxiety and peer pressure and the media culture and lack of sleep and pressure to succeed and so on. I don't want this for my kids, who are still young enough to be spared from all of this.Am I concerned? I have children in the early grades of public elementary school. You bet I am concerned. I see this book as a wakeup call for parents and whoever it is that runs our public schools. Something has got to change. This book provides the road map for how that change should happen. It contains real solutions. I hope everyone will read this book and join me in demanding change.

Great source for exams preparation
About one month ago I ordered four math books published by Argo Brothers Publishing – Math 3rd Grade Common Core Workbook (Part 1 and Part 2), and Math 5th Grade Common Core Workbook (Part 1 and Part 2). Being a Math Tutor I always check different additional sources to help my students to be successful on the tests, especially based on Common Core. Usually I search Internet looking for Test Preparation information, and then compiling worksheets for different topics. It is hard work, because there is a lot of outdated information with different point of view on the same subject. I found almost everything I need in those books! Part 1 has a hundreds multiple choice questions which cover different topics, and Part 2 requires writing answers, which is much harder, and makes a student to analyze, and formulate his answer in proper way. Guessing doesn’t work! All the books are well structured based by days and weeks, which can help with the planning of studying. I started to utilize those books in my tutoring process, and I’m very happy with the result – it saves my time and effort, and I have big source of worksheets wit the answer keys in one place! I would recommend those books to parents of my students as a perfect guide to be successful on Common Core exams. I’d like to order the book Math 7th Grade Common Core Workbook (Part 1 and Part 2) in near future.

quality material
This year I was moved to third grade from kindergarten. I needed materials I could use in the classroom. Teacher Pay Teacher gets expensive and although some activities are cute they are not always great quality. I have been impressed with the quality of material in this book. It is easy to match the standards I am trying to teach.

Excellent book for daily practice.
When choosing a math workbook, I’m usually looking for one simple thing: each topic is represented by a large amount of exercises. The “large” is extremely important as in math, like in many other fields of study, “repetition is the path to mastery”.Having tried numerous books, I can definitely say that this one (actually these two Part I and Part II) deserves a place on my table. The book is well organized and covers all material required for the 3rd grade Common Core. The multiple choice questions (Part I) contain fairly large amount of word problems, which is big part of CC,and the free response part (Part II) does have some challenging questions. What I like the most is its reasonably-sized daily exercises, which, if done daily, definitely improve results.

Great workbook.
I bought this book so that my daughter could review math skills because she tends to be forgetful about concepts taught in math. I like the multiple choice because it helps her test-taking skills. I also didn't want to pay for an expensive math academy so this works for me!

Nice
Liked this book a lot for my son. We do a lesson a day instead of a page a day just to have him do work a little longer. But gets his mind working so it’s good!

Good book, bad videos!
The book itself is good, my third grader is able to do a few pages a day. The problem I have is the guy who does the video explanations gets the answer wrong sometimes. I’ve uploaded photos as an example. He solves the problems in a different way than the book says. The book says to round and then add the rounded number, but he always adds and then rounds which gives him the incorrect answer. This is very confusing to my 3rd grader because the book says her answer is correct but he does it differently. She is only on week two and I can only imagine how many other things are incorrect. The book is good, the video explanations however are wrong and confusing.

Exactly what I have been looking for! My child ...
Exactly what I have been looking for! My child has the common core math book that is used at the local elementary schools, but sometimes she finds common core to be frustrating. So, we needed some extra practice for everyday homework routine. This book comes with online video tutoring explanations which I found really helpful when my child got sick and missed a new topic.
