I did find these particular dampers to be much stiffer than some other brands so as it turned out they really didn't work out for me on my regular trap kit. However, I am able to use them on a couple of my hand percussion drums. Particularly my bongos with fiberskin heads. They worked fine there.

I like these. They work like other dampeners to subdue ringing overtones, but are clear and look good on my clear heads.

Stick to the drums and cymbals and work as designed. Love them
