12" Steel Pipe is in really bad shape
I have purchased a lot of the GOOVI steel pipe and pipe fittings, everything looks pretty much like the pictures, however, the 3/4 x 12" pipe is not usable, extremely dirty appears covered in soot, rust on the inside, cracked ends. I will be returning these. I order this along with a couple of hundred dollars worth of different fittings and flanges, along with 6" pipe, everything is great for furniture making but the 12" pipe is just not usable. Not sure if I should try them again or go with a different company. I am adding some pics of the bad pipe along with the good pieces for comparison.

Very thin walled pipe
I bought these so that i could make a pullup bar from them. The bar was a cage with cross members and had a height of 6 and a half feet. After building it, I tried it once but I was very apprehensive about the durability of the pipes so one time is all that I used it for. These pipes are very very thin. I'm afraid that the threads will break under the repeated strain of my weight so sadly... I am going to disasemble this pull up bar/cage and I will make another one out of schedule 40 pipes bought from home depot. For those of you that dont know what schedule 40 means, it is just referring to the wall thickness of the pipe. These pipes do not list the wall thickness but they are much much thinner than schedule 40 pipe. These pipes did hold my body weight one time, but I do not trust them to do it repeatedly, so if you want to build something that can hold a modest amount of weight, maybe 50 pounds or so, then these pipes are ok. But they are absolutely not safe to use for doing any sort of weight lifting activities such as pull ups or dips or for use as a squat rack.

Great for smaller sized furniture, lamps or shelves projects
Of course for this price this pipe is not real black pipe. It is much thinner and appears to be made out of cold rolled steel. And, of course, not recommend it to be used for gas or liquids. However, if your building shelves or furniture it works fine. The threads are only about 1/4” long, so the threads will not show once you thread it into connectors or flanges. The pipes I received were oily, dirty and painted black. They were not rusted. I wiped them down with paint thinner, sanded them, then wiped again with alcohol. I then sprayed painted with black satin. For the price, they look similar to real black pipe. I used these to build a three tier self standing book shelve that’s about 28” wide and 30” tall. Nice and strong.

Great Look for a Great Price
I built a whole shelving unit using Brooklyn Pipe parts. I had no threading issues or fitting issues. The pipes are to size with strong threads. The support pipes are strong yet lighter than standard piping you would find at a box store. The backplates matched up with the threading of the pipes, along with all the other fittings. Everything was hand tightened, no need for a wrench. Using Brooklyn Pipes saved me a lot of money when doing this project. If I would have used a box store, I would have spent an extra $150 dollars. Great product, good price.

Decorative! Not for plumbing.
I used this to make lasers for bunk beds. The threads are not made for plumbing applications and they will not hold very well. Perhaps if you use copious amounts of Teflon they may hold but I doubt the walls are thick enough for any serious application. With that said they are sturdy and do hold up pretty well. Decorative use? Yes! Plumbing applications? No!

Arrived Unusable Rusty
When these arrived I was very disappointed. Don't leave reviews often for items, but I'd be cautious with this brand as I purchased two 10 packs of 12" black pipe but they arrived all rusty and dirty and I even tried washing them but they are too gross to use for my shelf project. I am going to pay the extra and go to Home Depot. The pipe flanges I purchased through the same vendor Goovi also arrived very dirty but thankfully not rusty so I will try to clean and use those to save some cost. Overall would not be a return customer- buyer beware!

Cheap and thin
I used to build a bookshelf. The pipe is much thinner than the black pipe you can get from the big box stores. These only have few threads. I wanted exposed threads on my project but the threads disappear in fittings.
