Controller has Logic Problems
There may be some of these delivered that are fine but I noted serveral reviews before I ordered that had issues with the controller. I ordered anyway and here is my experience. I have two strings of LEDs of 24 bulbs each with dimmable 2 watt LED's. They are wired in parallel so that the dimmer drives an extension cord with two outlets with each string plugged into separate outlets. There were no instruction or directions in the box however operation looked straight-forward. All tests were within five feet so controller distance was not an issue. On activation, unit was turned on and was at 100% brightness. Set to 50% using the 50% button and that was it. The unit would take no further wireless inputs (on,off, increase, decrease, timer, etc) from the controller and string remained set at 50% and could not be turned off. Unplugged unit and had same experience, got two commands and unit froze on last setting of second command. Put a ON/OFF wireless unit in front of the dimmer and used it to turn the dimmer ON/OFF and take my two commands.I do not need a 1000 W of control but this was an Amazon featured product. I am not going to operate this using the second wireless device for resetting each time I use so I am returning immediately. This is too bad as the unit has the features I desired.

Works ok, but
The control part works just fine. But this is not IP65 waterproof. The case shell has plenty are places for water to enter. If you have this unit in a wet location then I recommend you seal all the openings with silicone.edit: took two stars off. This unit is not water proof in any way. Mine collected moisture over time on the inside, and then shorted out and no longer works. The inside is encapsulated in some type of silicone stuff that does not keep moisture out, it's not a good potting epoxy like MG Chemicals has. Up until then it did work ok.

Does not work with a 500W string of incandescent lights
I had ordered a similar 1000W product that also did not work. The Remote Control turns the string of lights on and off but when I try turning on again the remote control no longer controls the lights! It locks up and I have to use a ladder to my gazebo to disconnect the lights and start over. It works a couple of times then it locks up again. I tried the dimmer with one light bulb and I can make the remote control work all day with every button on the remote without lock up! This is rated for 1000watts, my string of lights is 500watts, so what's going on here? The Palawell dimmer works great but it burns up the 350W. So I am ordering a 600W Question is...does this remote only work with LED lights? If so. LED lights are low wattage...What's with the 1000 watts it says it's rated for?

2 years and going strong!
I bought this to go with the LED string lights. It's plugged into a receptacle controlled by a photo switch, as this controller is not dusk to dawn. So, it comes on every night. It's been around two years now, and it is flawless!!This controller is a RF ( radio frequency) connected to the remote, which is why I bought it.I can be anywhere, including the basement, in my house and it works perfectly. It works better than advertised!!!I'm getting another one soon. I would highly recommend this to anyone! It's all very simple, plug n play. You could keep the remote control in your car and switch on your lights at night! Never a dark yard again!Worth every penny!

120V pulsating DC - NOT AC as stated. Only half wave - will not work right with LED strings
The unit is great for use with INCANDESENT lights only.If you have strings of LED lights with more than one internal circuit half of the lights will not work.If you reverse the plug in and turn it half way around the other half will work then, but not both at the same time!I confirmed the half wave output with my scope. The output is pulsating DC - it is NOT alternating AC power.

Stopped working after less than 2 months
Same old story here as many recent reviews. It worked great for the first 4-6 weeks and then it stopped working. Sometimes the remote would turn on the lights but then wouldn't turn them off. Sometimes it'd turn lights on and allow to change brightness and then stop responding the the remote. Unplug and plug back in results in the lights coming on at 50% brightness but no way to do anything with them but unplug them again to turn them off. This unit is a great idea but unreliable and I'm trying to contact Amazon to see if I can get it replaced/refunded under the 1 year warranty. Fingers crossed but I'm not expecting anything.

This Outdoor dimmer/remote control did not last 3 weeks, do not buy!
The dimmer switch/remote failed after less than three weeks. I can not return it either. I would not buy this unit.

Works as advertised - Can recommend it
Plugged it into a standard AC receptacle, like we all have in our homes (in the USA). Wireless remote control of the lights so far has worked flawlessly and was easy to understand how to use; actually, could understand without reading directions (I'd say it was intuitive). Love the feature allowing the brightness to be set from 100% of maximum down to 10% in increments of 10%. It also has a timer that can be set to have it turn off when you want it to turn off (say to not stay on too late and disturb the neighbors). Wireless remote operates plugged into my garage from at least 35 feet away and through two walls. Very happy with it so far.

Timer controller
The perfect accent color, and multiple brightness levels, plus a timer so you won't forget to shut down

Compact dimmer with lots of dimming options
Bought to put on dimmer for patio lights. The dimmer works great and can dim down to 10%. Like it covers 10% dim to 100% bright. Good quality for money.
