One year review - just ordered more
Incredible product. Buy and don't look back. We have had a bunch for over a year and they have held up as if new. They are very well made. And believe me, we have put them through the paces. They have been jammed with all matters of things, from fresh kale with stalks, to frozen baitfish with barbed fins and teeth. And I mean jammed. Unfairly jammed. As if I was trying to rupture the bag jammed! Damage?...zero. Seriously, their stuff is so good that it surprised me enough to write a review. They deserve the praise. Money is tight everywhere, right? I have a policy. If I give you my money and you give me a square deal...you're gonna hear about it. If you give me what I think is MORE than a square deal, the world's gonna hear about it. After all, if we reward companies which give us value, we'll have more companies that give us value. Pretty simple. And value it is. The best part is that you will continue to find more and more uses for these things. We have about eight now and frankly we could easily use eight more. Who would want to store their food in anything else except a chemically inert, non-reactive, completely safe container?? It is either food grade silicone or glass. And though we use both the silicone is SO much more convenient - flexible, unbreakable, moldable (helps while jamming in the freezer..lol)Just buy the darn things. You will not regret it. They are unbelievably tough (I'll try and find a pic of a whole bunch of razor finned frozen mackerel jammed in a bag), and a steal at the price. Support some of the good guys.

Worth the cost for sure!
I recently bought first set of silicone baggies to replace the plastic baggies we normally use. Those were Cuisinart. It’s a brand I’m familiar with and they had pretty good reviews and product claims. I have, over time, really grown to hate them. They do not seal properly and tear easily. So I came back to Amazon to purchase another, better brand. I was hesitant because I didn’t want to waste my money again but these Homelux baggies are far superior to the Cusinart baggies.First- The thickness of the baggies is wonderful. They are worlds thicker than the Cuisinart baggies and seem so much more durable. The difference in the feel of the silicone is night and day and I wish you all could feel them through the screen. They are also much heavier due to the thicker silicone and I’m loving that as well. It makes me more confident that they won’t tear open easily during cleaning or if, inevitably, one of my kids drops them on the floor full of veggies or whatever.Second- The seal works so much better than the Cuisinart as well. The slider does take a little effort to get on and take off, but they seal very well and, the best part, my kids can open and close them without needing help. That was one of the first things I noticed in the Cuisinart baggies is how terrible the seal was. It became a struggle to no avail every time I tried to get them closed. We ended up resorting to bag clips on some simply because they wouldn’t close properly anymore- and this happened maybe after the third use. With the Homelux, I don’t think I’ll ever have that problem because the slider works perfectly at holding them closed.Third- They have markings that tell you how many cups/mls/oz are inside and I think some people will use that, although I don’t think I’ll ever need it. They also have a line marking the max fill which is really nice. This will help keep them from being overly filled and potentially not work properly.Fourth- They, so far, do not leak at all. I mean, at all. I have filled them with water to test, put the slider on, turned them upside down and shook the h*ll out of them, and nothing. Nada. I mean no water leaked out. There is no way I could’ve done that with the Cuisinart baggies. Just the thought of trying it with them makes me chuckle.Fifth- The presentation. The Cuisinart baggies came inside a thin plastic bag with no instructions or cleaning guidelines or anything. These Homelux were presented well inside of a branded box with instructions for how to use the baggies (mainly the slider), how to clean them, how to clean stains that may occur, and a message from the company thanking me for my purchase. My one issue is that the slider is made of plastic, which I am trying to eliminate, but I knew that before ordering and it’s still a step forward. It’s way better than using those disposable plastic baggies that just end up where they aren’t supposed to.I hope you can tell the huge difference between these Homelux and the Cuisinart silicone baggies from my photos. And if you find this review helpful, give me a mark. 😉

Good enough
Summary in case you don’t want to read the whole thing: not bad for inexpensive silicone bags but I don’t think I’d purchase them again.Having never used this kind of bag before I wasn’t sure what to expect so I diligently read many reviews before getting these. They seemed like one of the best combinations of value and cost. Now that I’ve used them for a short while here are some of my observations. Hope they’re useful to someone.First of all, I love that these come in a pack with different sizes. The two smaller sizes get more use for me personally since they are more appropriate for snacks. The larger sizes mostly sit in the drawer. They are useful to hold crackers and foods with larger pieces that don’t fit well in glass containers like freshly roasted chestnuts or pieces of a baked squash. Also figured out that they are useful for marinating! Who would’ve thought. They are somewhat hard to open and close all the way, especially if your hands are wet, but it hasn’t really bothered me much yet. It’s actually helped when there are little ones around because they can’t get into my bags of treats without permission :-). But I can see that also being a negative for a busy parent who wants their kids to be able to open it themselves. I also wish the closing part wasn’t a separate piece from the bag. That makes two parts per bag to keep track of, instead of one which is a problem that is magnified x100 if kids are around, especially because the colorful closing sliders look like a kids toy. It also means storage is slightly more complicated since there are more pieces and the bag overall is clunky and a bit heavy (not recommended for backpacking). When it comes to cleaning I use a bottle brush since it cleans in the little crevices in the bottom. The expensive name brand bags have a smoother interior that makes them easier to wash. Requires a little more paying attention when I wash them. The bags are also translucent, not totally transparent like other brands which can be problematic for a visual person like me who forgets what’s in the fridge until I see it. If I pick it up to look I can tell what’s in it but often I’ll just forget it’s in the fridge because I can’t see what’s in it.Now that I’ve seen the other brands my friends use I would say these are like the good old reliable Buick that grandma drives; a bit unwieldy but altogether solid and affordable.

Reusable!
Since these bags are reusable, they are not as thin and flexible as the disposable types, but they appear to be very durable and easy to clean! I will attempt to collect a large number of these for various foods and purposes so that I do not have to ever buy any more single-use bags!

Great!
I did some searching into which brand had the best reusable bags, as previous experience with cheap/random ones was not good. These bags are great! Heavy duty material, easy to clean, easy closure with the bar, keeps things fresh. Kids are able to easily use them for their lunches etc. Great customer service through Homelux Theory as well! Highly recommend!

I am very satisfied
I don't write review often. But this time I feeled that I have to write one. This product is amazing. I made a lot of research to find a bag similar to ziploc, but in silicone for the lunch box. When I find one, it was as exemple, too expensive, in a far away place, too big or not really what I was looking for.But I found this, and it has all the criteria I was looking for. I didn't make mistake. That's perfect, remplace every little plastic bags from garbage, don't take place in the lunch box, is easily cleaned and more.Don't hesitate to buy this. It's a must have. I know it will last for very long time. And, you encourage a small business. I'm very happy with this purchase. Finished little plastic bags.

Nice big size bags
Recieved the silicone bags today. Size is nice and big. Sliding Lock seems secure. Theres grove on the silicone on which the plastic sliding stick slides on. Will see how this would hold. Just hoping i dont end up loosing the sliding stick when i need it 😀

Solid bags
These are very solid and durable. Unfortunately I had to return them as I needed a much larger size. The multicolour 4-pack are much smaller than a regular large ziploc.
