Sturdy with power routing options
Fits nicely into my powered audio rack.Very sturdy with a smooth open/close action.Using the pre-cut 2" grommets in the back, I was able to easily route power into the drawer. I purchased a 2" desktop power port and after a modification to the back of the unit had a 120 volt plug and 2 usb ports.

Solid & Smooth - Expensive but does its job
Solid design. Smooth action. Not sure if this is a good value or not. There are cheaper drawers this size you can buy, but because I have not purchased them I cannot compare. For me, this drawer met my expectations for quality and functionality. Given that, it was worth the money to me. The drawer open is a spring latch you push down and then pull out. Works fine. No screws came with the drawer so you may need to purchase them. It is a true double rack height drawer.

A great drawer
Exactly what I was looking for in a rack mounted drawer. Fits perfectly in my 6u Gator Pro Series Molded rack case. This unit is too large for the shallow rack mount cases. Drawer slides in and out nicely. Will not pop out on its own. Comes with locking mechanism that can be installed after purchase. A great place to store cables, pedals, notebooks, guitar accessories, etc. Would recommend to anyone.

Plastic Drawer Clips
Pros:Solid construction of the actual drawer.Foam inserts are perforated for easy customization.Optional locking mechanism comes with the drawer.Cons:The latch that holds the drawer shut (not the lock) is made of the cheapest plastic possible. I purchased two of these Drawers and the plastic clip on one broke when I barely bulled on one drawer to open it (it was caught on the edge even though I had pressed the release firmly down), the second lasted maybe 2 weeks of use before it broke as well. Now I just use the locks to keep them closed and that works good enough, which is why I still kept them. Ultimately the tab that holds them shut isn't a deal breaker, just doesn make sense to skimp out on that one piece when everything else is solid!

Exactly what I needed for my audio desk
I have an RTA Producer Desk, which has rack spaces. I also have a LOT of equipment mounted in and around my desk. I had exactly the amount of space needed. I now have 3x 3U drawers in my desk and I'm happy with that outcome.Neutral on the easy to lock category, it came with locks to install but I have not installed them. Also the oddity of opening them means you press down on the latching system, whereas it would be more natural to pull up. Is/WhatIs; I'm happy with the results.

doesn't glide well at all
I needed a 5U rack drawer and have been in the entertainment industry since 1980 and this is the first rack drawer that seems like a piece of garbage. It is well built and solid but after reading the reviews of how well it glides I made the purchase. When I first tried to open it I thought it must have a shipping lock or something to keep it closed. Once I mounted it to my rack I am finding it very hard to open. I have to push on my road case to keep it from moving towards me just to open the drawer. I am going to try it again in a day or so and either update this review or send the unit back.

Awesome Microphone Drawer for Your Rack!
Great rack mountable microphone drawer; holds up to four wireless microphones and four wireless bodypacks. I rock the Sennhesier G3 systems and they fit perfectly in this rack. So good, I bought two of them.

It works, but has issues.
So the foam works, but it also falls apart (not the foam itself, but the perforated foam). But that's due to the perforation's that allow for easy editing of the layout. It's a catch 22, make the material too hard to modify and you wouldn't like it. Make it too easy and with regular use after you get the cutout done additional pieces will start to come off; kinda annoying. I wish there was a 'cure' spray that came with it so you could 'save' the design as you have it.
