OrthoStep Flat Athletic Shoelaces 2 Pair Pack - Made in the USA

I purchased these laces in order to replace the laces that originally came in a pair of New Balance 574s. I've given them 4 stars based on the decent price of $8.95 that I paid, which was for 2 pair or 4 laces.These laces are advertised as being 54 inches long but according to my measurements they are 55 inches, which is accurate enough in my opinion. 55 inches includes the 5/8 inch plastic aglets on each end. And yes, I did have to Google the name of the tube piece at the end of a shoe lace, agletMy original laces measured about 50.5 inches without pulling them very tight and would stretch to about 55 inches when pulled rather tight. The Orthostep laces don't seem to have any stretch to them. I'll know soon if this translates to less conform or if it affects how well they stay tied.From handling these laces along side the original NB laces there's an obvious quality different in the way they feel. The NB laces feel thicker and more substantial which lends it's self to the original laces seeming to hold their shape a little better once threaded into the shoe.These will probably hold up just fine, and unless you place them next to the original laces you probably won't notice any difference just by looking at them.If you aren't too concerned about your shoe laces these will do just fine. I'll use them for the next couple of months until my deployment ends, but when I get home I'll probably soak my original laces in Oxyiclean and put them back in my shoes.I'd recommend these if you aren't concerned about having the same quality laces that come with New Balance or Nike shoes, but if you want something almost exactly like the originals I'd try a different brand of lace.

These laces, like many I have owned in the past, keep my shoes fitting snugly, but not too tight, around my foot. Since my foot is a little larger than average, women's size 10, I was worried that they might not be able to handle the stress of my activity, but just like my shoe and socks, they have blended in well with the team of foot products that keep my feet safe, comfortable, and functioning. My shoes are navy blue and white, so I was tickled to see that the white laces were a perfect match. Walking around with my new laces has given me the confidence I was lacking. I expect my new favorite accessory will help me radiate joy and positivity as I go through my day.

Seriously, buy these. I bought super-expensive sneakers that came with cheap-o slippery nylon shoelaces I was constantly tying my shoelaces about once every 15 minutes, all day long. It was such a pain. I couldn't find any cotton non-slip shoelaces in my whole town! I bought these shoelaces online and I haven't had a problem since I put them in my sneakers. It's amazing how something that should have so little significance in one's life becomes such a big deal when it requires constant attention. These are great. I tie my shoelaces once a day, and that's it.

I purchased these to replace some round laces that had broken on my Keen shoes. I didn't like that the Keen shoes had an inner cotton lace and a fabric outer. The fabric outer would tear, making the cotton inner bunch up and then tearing the lace. These laces are just the fabric and are flat. I find that this allows me to tie the shoe tighter (like a sneaker lace) and it feels better on my foot than the original round laces. The length also gives me enough to double-knot the laces if I choose to do so. So far, these laces have lasted 2 years with almost daily wear!

These aren't shoes, so I can't say anything about the arch support. But:The length was spot on, I like the flat laces, something of a new idea for me, they hold the tension as you tighten the shoes from toe to ankle, and lay flat against the tongue so there isn't any gap for the lace to settle in to that loosens the lace, meaning they keep the tension (which I said before).The color was a little off to the blue tone, but I don't find it objectionable, I got gray to go with my gray New Balance shoes. There isn't a lot to say about shoe laces except how they work and how long they last. I don't know about wear because I've only had them for a week or so. If I remember, I'll come back and tell you all when they wear out.

Was looking for replacement laces that were thick enough to fit my old shoes. These were perfect. Long enough and thick enough to do the types of laces I want. Might have to get longer ones for weaving.

Unfortunately for me, my mom's puppy destroyed the laces on my Reebok Skyscapes (6 eyelets on both sides). My original laces were inbetween the 45" and 54" inch, and quite slim. I decided to go with the 45", which worked out perfectly for my shoes. Although these laces are "fatter" and less smooth than I would like in comparison with my original laces, they work well, lay flat, and the knots don't slip. They're very sturdy and I now have a second pair on hand if I screw up another pair of laces! Overall, I'd buy them again because they're good quality and a good price (I bought them at $9).

Half the price and readily available as opposed to the original Mephisto shoe laces for my tan leather "Match" shoes, the texture and color are not quite right for the Mephistos, and although 36 inches, they seem to be longer than the 36 inch Mephisto laces. Now don't get me wrong. These are excellent shoelaces, and once tied, they stay tied all day. The shoe laces are fine. Its not their fault that I can't locally source the real thing more rapidly when I break a shoe lace.
