I bought a King C. Gillette safety razor recently. Of course it came with it's own King C. Gillette blades as well. Not the most exciting and I wanted to try some others. There are a lot of these variety packs, and this one seemed good to me. I have a beard and don't shave more than a couple times a week, so I didn't need like a 20-pack or anything, but this one still has a good variety of brands. The only downside is I want to try them all but am patiently working my way through them as I need to replace blades! So far I've just tried a Feather (great shave with that BTW) and haven't needed to replace it yet, and I got this order weeks ago. Fun to have all these options though.

**Update - Oct16, 2022I am STILL using the blades from this sample pack!! I am currently using the Russian(?) ones, Voskhod... While I do not HATE any of them, I will definitely say that the Feather, Astra & Gillette Platinum blades DO stand out as the frontrunners, in no particular order. So, that being said, I 100% recommend this razor blade sample pack as an OUTSTANDING value & a great way to find the blade that you prefer. By the way, I am currently using a Viking Revolution Chieftain butterfly-style razor & can highly recommend this as well.A great way to try out different brands of razors. There is a difference! This might last me almost a year for less than a single pack of those awful throw-away plastic cartridges!

This assortment represents a good value, and a good cross-section of blades from different manufacturers. It holds a few surprises. I did not expect Astra Platinum and Gillette Platium to both be Proctor & Gamble products, made in St. Petersburg, Russia. I also didn't expect to Voskhod from Moscow, complete with Cyrillic lettering. Fun fact that LOI and Sharp Swiss Quality blades come from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Who knew? A world tour stop with every shave.I appreciate being able to try a variety of blades at a reasonable cost, before buying bulk quantities for my daily routine. I recommend this assortment.

I abandoned the 7 blade and high cost cartridges simply becuase they are so expensive. The safety razor is a great alternative. However, the blades make all the difference! I used Derby but ran out and purchased a bulk pack of another brand and -- and immediately found shaving to be a chore, with many more nicks and cuts. Being a cheap SOB, I used those for some time finally deciding it wasn't worth it, but I wanted to see if there were others that were even better than the Derby's that I started with.A sample pack like this was just the answer!In this pack, there were multiple vendors represented. While I have some specific thoughts on the individual blades that is not relevant here since this is an assortment.The blades included run from the Derby's I started with, and the brand I had just a bad experience with --- the other 6 all fell somewhere in between --- or higher.This sample gave me the affordable and convenient opportunity to try 6 new manufacturers.I won't buy this pack again, but I DO have 100 blades in my shopping cart from this list, convinced that of the 8 represented here, it is the most comfortable, sharpest, and longest lasting blade of them all.Nope --- won't tell you which one --- You need to use this sampler and try for yourself becuase whats good for me may be bad for you. This is an EXCELLENT way to answer that question for a few bucks.

I am new to wet shaving, so I got this sampler pack of blades to hopefully find one that worked for me. There is good variety in the pack with some more aggressive blades and some milder ones. I found the Astra blades to be too sharp and the Gillette blades to be pretty tough on my skin. The Shark and Vokshod blades were by far the gentlest on my skin. I switched from an electric razor so my skin is pretty sensitive to the blades. I liked being able to try out a range of blades. Would definitely recommend especially for someone new to wet shaving.

Gotta try out new brands, really worth the money. Tried the feather blades despite sensitive skin and really gets a close shave. Will try the others though to maximise the worth of the purchase
