Watch the sun glare but decent nonetheless
The media could not be loaded. This took me quite a while to install, so don’t think that you can shove everything in on a 60 minute time limit. Attached a hot wire cable to the red camera power wire, run the black ground wire to chassis (NOT to the lamp). Now the hard part. Run the wire from the plate to inside your vehicle. I used a rubber grommet access point from existing wire that lights the plate, but this is a 2011 Highlander which needs the wiring to travel up the hatch, then back down the rear pillar to the reverse lamp. Attach the red pigtail cable from one end of the RCA wire bundle to the same tap onto your reverse light and you’ll have power to the radio side of your long video line. HOWEVER… the 24 foot cable is not quite long enough for many SUVs including mine. I had to order a 10 meter backup camera extension cable ($7-9 here) which will arrive overnight.Run that cable along your vehicle and you should have enough to reach your multimedia unit. Attach the RCA cable and that other red pigtail which goes to the reverse (or backup camera wire) and you should be gravy. The camera has a built in light sensor which triggers six small LEDs if it’s too dark outside. Watch the clip that I posted regarding that feature plus why I deducted a little on the quality because the lens really can create sun flare which can make it impossible to see exactly where you’re heading. That should happen during sunrise & sunset hours but I’m glad that I saw that this afternoon while testing.

Low Cost, High Quality HD 720P Backup Camera
This camera is very easy to install if you have easy access to the vehicle rear light wiring. The wiring from the camera to the monitor is much for of a challenge; hiding, securing, and accessing the interior compartment to the monitor. I have a 2011 Nissan Titan 4x4 PU and easily removed the right-side taillight assembly which had two fastener screws for easy access to the backup light wiring. The camera is very small and I mounted it at the top of the license plate with one of the license plate screws; but if a centered position is desired double-sided tape is provided in the kit. I ran the wiring from the camera thru the hole behind the license plate, along the underside of the PU bed and cab, thru an existing rubber grommet on the engine firewall, into the cab under the dash, and to the monitor on the dash. This camera kit didn't come with a monitor but it connected into the RCA from my 7" 1080P color monitor. The kit came with long enough wires for my full-size PU with long-bed, but didn't come with any wire splice connectors, T-taps, or zip ties. User manual was sufficient for installation instructions. The picture quality was excellent for stabilty, clarity and brightness, and very good for color tone which is probably a benefit of the wired feature vs. wireless. The night-time photo included was taken in complete darkness and was excellent quality, but its benefiting from supplemental lighting of the PU backup lights. On previous products, I've experienced very good responsiveness for questions from the manufacturer via email. I like the 2 year warranty, and choice of free nice items offered to customers. Cost of the camera kit is very low and competitive with other cameras with similar features. I recommend this HD backup camera if a wired camera is desired.

Not a very clear video image but it works.
The video image isn't as clear as my previous camera but it does work. The instructions are not as detailed as they should be but I've been doing installs for nearly40 years & I've got it working the very first attempt. If you're a rookie, you might want to pay a professional to install it for you. Thanks & have a nice day!

F05 wired camera
B07TLHH7SF - LeeKooLuu F05 HD Car Backup Camera 6 Auto LED Lights Hitch Rear View Camera Front View Camera with Super Night Vision IP69K Waterproof 149° Wide ViewThis camera can be used as a plug-in replacement for an existing rear camera that has failed. In the first photo, you can see the mirror image on the monitor along with the guide lines. This was taken in the early morning and the image is very bright. The remaining shot(s) are taken at night. Please excuse the poor image taken with a cell phone of the monitor showing the image from the wired camera. I used a standalone LCD monitor instead of plugging into the car's head unit for my own convenience. In the night time photos, I compare the F05 camera view on the separate monitor against the car's built-in camera displaying on the head unit. The F05's field of view is slightly narrower, but this provides a less distorted reverse view while still covering a reasonably wide field of view (149 degress per the item's description). You can see the original and F05 versions of the scene, a rear view toward my garage door. Subjectively, I like the less distorted view. For closer objects, it probably won't make any difference. The grid lines are okay, but uncalibrated in my quick test. I will not use the grid lines for my actual use.My car's camera still works so I use this as a supplemental side-view camera for the passenger side blind spot. I don't have any photos of that yet, but I will add them to this review later.

works with Pioneer AVH-P3300BT
Had a bit of trouble at first, esp after reading that it might not work with Pioneer. It was really an easy set up and the rca is plenty long. it easily (with extra to spare) reached from the rear to the head unit in 2000 Chevy Blazer LS 4x4 ZR2. I just wired the wires to the reverse light wires, mine are green=power to both red wires from license end. I spliced a longer wire to the one coming from the rca so it would reac the light. I ended up having tp cut the light wires and splicing to the camera wires. The T-Taps were not working for me. I plugged the rca into the brown one at the back of the head unit and wired the red one to the purple go give the camera power and we now have back-up video. So if you have it all wired and have no picture, check your connections. Great picture, lines are right on.
