Buy 5, then buy some good cables
Great quality for the price. I started podcasting with several of these, and they worked beautifully with all my other "prosumer" hardware. Beautiful audio quality, especially for a steal like this. The only thing to look out for is the cable it ships with, as it is rather cheaply made and can cause intermittent connection to the mic. This can translate to random popping sounds or patches of dead air. At this price though, the cable is really just a bonus. With a good quality cable with a rubber boot to maintain a snug fit, we didn't have any more problems. A good set of well made cables is worth the money, I personally went with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NFXVB34/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1 to be able to color code my inputs on all the guests. Really though, any decent xlr cable with a rubber boot is all you need. Great value mic, personally have a full set of these for on-the-air backups of the condenser mics we upgraded to.

Old PA System needed this update
Not bad at all! Small, extremely clear sound, and no batteries needed. Great for an auctioneer!

You get what you pay for . . . not your go-to microphone.
I picked this microphone up as an "add-on item" for $3.61 as a "back up" microphone just because. I figured it might com in handy if one of my quality units is stolen or suddenly goes south. It is definitely a "you get what you pay for" proposition, as it does not pick up low-range voice, and sounds tinny, and does not have the heft of a quality mic . . . And, yes, it's made of plastic That said, this is the perfect mic for those situations where you don't want to risk quality equipment. Your kids can goof around with it and, because it doesn't pick up as much bass or rumble, it could work well for speakers who leave little or no space between the mic and their lips. Pros: It works Comes with a cable On/Off switch Cheap Cheap Cheap . . . but you get what you pay for Cons: Poor tonal pickup Does not send a clear signal to the amp Very lightweight . . . Made of plastic, no heft, feels cheap Included cable is cheaply made, with a molded plastic XLR and banana plug connectors, and is much too short

Decent Microphone
I bought two of these mics during some kind of mark-down sale for around $7 USD each. The first one I opened has something loose inside and I need to shake it for it to make a connection so that it functions. Due to the low cost, and not wanting the hassle of a return, I can't say I care at all. That aside, I really didn't have a lot of expectations for the mostly plastic unit. I bought it primarily to do "unrefined" impulse responses of my guitar speaker cabinet, and does it deliver in that area. In the center of the speaker, it gives me a pleasingly harsh tone that is definitely best suited to be blended with a darker, bassier IR. The far edge capture of the speaker also gives a kind of nasty deeper tone quality that can be blended with a brighter IR to round it out. Will these IRs impress most people? Probably not. But if you're looking to experiment with different mics, this one is surely affordable and just may give you a result you weren't expecting. I haven't tried them with a voice or instrument, so I can't be of much help there, but maybe they'll be a good backup for you or provide an alternate sound that you weren't initially looking for. Since these are mostly plastic, I wouldn't expect it to be used on a stage or for any serious gigging musician. They do have an on/off switch which I wasn't expecting. They are very light in weight and comfortable to hold. I'd expect your best results for these mics would be to place them in a stand and leave them there.

Great price point great product and functionality
I'll tell you the product description from the factory was great and the reviews that were positive really set the stage well because when we got this microphone it's Fidelity when connecting to a Casio Keyboard works great for karaoke mode. The cord length in the adapter and the design and durability all seem right where they need to be since I replaced an Audio-Technica mic with this

extremely misleading description which equates to lying and stealing.
I received this mic as an addon item and i bought it because of the description. the description says "Durable Zinc Alloy Metal Construction" this is a blatant lie obviously. it's 100% plastic-no zinc-no alloy-no metal at all. 100% plastic!!!! it is NOT AN XLR MICROPHONE. pin 3 doesn't connect to anything at all. its a 2LEAD TSR mic do not hook this up to phantom power-no telling if it blow up in your face. 48V into it might get you hurt. it also says "Professional Moving Coil Dynamic Handheld Microphone". This is not a professional microphone-that's a fact-it's a 100% plastic toy. It is not a real microphone. the sound quality is that off any old toy microphone. i did hook it up, and i was surprised my voice even came through. These people need to pay up for lying in the description. Maybe someone will take the time to report them for blatantly lying about what this product is. None the less for $$3.99 it's a toy, and i'm not gonna bother sending it back, or ever buying from the seller or whoever wrote the description every again. horrible product. you can't tell someone it's a real product and then send them a toy that is nothing like the description. that ain't legal.
