Excellent safety vest for visibility at night
This vest is superior as a safety vest for the person walking a pet, walking, running or jogging for exercise or riding a bike. It is adjustable both in terms of length and size around the waist and stretches so that it fits over even bulky winter sweaters and jackets. At night in the red reflection of car tail lights, the entire vest is a bright orange, front and back; in the car head lights the entire vest is a silver white. Excellent for safety for someone on the street at dusk or night.Recommend you let the belt out to the maximum lengths both to go over the shoulders and around waist before you put belt on for the first time. This along with the stretch will allow the belt to go over sweaters and bulky jackets and be at your waist rather than at your rib cage as some other safety vests. I am female 5' 8" and my male neighbor is 5' 11" and this safety belt fits both of us comfortably. It is very easy to put on and take off. Unclip the two sides at the waist; put your head through the opening in the center, letting the long sides drop in back of you and the clips are in front at your waist; then bring each side around to clip at your waist. Make sure the belt is straight and not twisted either over your shoulders or around your waist. To remove, simply unclip both sides at the waist and pull belt over your head. If you do it once, you won't have any trouble whatsoever in putting it on or taking it off.I highly recommend this safety vest. Great value for the money. Well made and durable.

Well Made. Great Customer Service
This item is light and packs away small. That's one thing that attracted me to it, more than a full vest. It can be rolled up and will fit in a small jacket pocket, or take up only half of a large pocket. It feels to be of good quality, and it looks plenty reflective. The buckles are rather thin plastic. That's nice for lightness; but I do wonder if they'll hold up in the long run. They're working fine so far.It is made of a stretchy material, so it can fit snugly without being tight. I didn't expect it to be stretchy, but I got used to it almost immediately. In the winter, the snugness served to hold my parka closed, since it is a bit small for me and hard to zip up.Still, the horizontal loop was a bit too snug for me when fully extended (I'm about 52" or 56" around with winter clothes on.) Amphipod took care of that problem by sending me a couple of extension pieces. All I had to do was call them and tell them what size I was. I spoke to a young lady named Kelly who was friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Now that's customer service above and beyond what you can usually find just anywhere. Now I wear it so it fits close but not snug. It's light and I sometimes forget I have it on.Thanks a lot, Kelly and Amphipod.

A must for bike riding anywhere there are cars, day or night.
Keeps me safer, and is not bulky. A must for bike riding anywhere there are cars, day or night. Especially at night.

Great safety item
I wear this whenever I run at night- cars see me well when I run by the side of the road, bicyclists see me on multi use paths. Comfortable, I don’t even remember I’m wearing it. I threw one in my car so if I have to change a tire at night, I have some additional protection. Nothing will guarantee your safety when you’re out running at night, but it sure makes you more visible.

I'm tall/large and this is a perfect fit
Some reviewers complained of a skimpy fit and of the lower surround only coming down to their lower ribs. I took a chance and ordered the product anyway. I'm six feet two inches, 190 pounds, and I buy my Levis in 36X36 size. The product, when it arrived, did look like it would be the same super-skimpy fit that others complained about -- but I soon noticed that the straps could be loosened for a much larger fit. I let out all the adjustments to the max and tried it on. It seemed to have been designed and sized just for me personally. That lower surround comes down and rests against my leather belt and belt buckle -- exactly where I prefer it to be. I would guess that if the prospective purchaser is a big retired NFL player, weighing 250 plus, that the sizing would turn out to be a little minimal on you. The product is sized to fit someone who looks like a typical runner or bicyclist, not a retired NFL player.I've been wearing it at sunrise every morning on bicycle rides of about fifteen miles. The straps stay right where they started out, and they do not tend to migrate around on my upper body. I've noticed zero points of discomfort or chafing. I've been wearing light summertime shirts so far, but the straps seem just loose enough that I believe I have just the correct amount of room to be able to add a jacket when cooler weather arrives. If you follow a highly popular blog called ''Lovely Bicycle,'' the red haired Irish lady in charge of the blog reported on a midnight bicycle ride from Boston to Maine a couple of months ago. I noticed in her photos that this very product is what the group was wearing for nighttime safety. I think seeing her photos is what really sold me. She is really picky about using the right equipment while bicycling. This review by ~Keith

great vest for running in low light conditions
I bought it because the Ragnar relay race required something like this. The first race I bought a cheap running vest, like a road guard vest (Semper Fi!), but that was annoying because it always shifted while I ran. This costs a lot more but it's worth the money because it doesn't move so much while you're running. I would give it 5 stars but it doesn't stay low on my waist, it crawls up towards my belly button which is a little higher than I would like. I'm 6'0, so maybe if I was shorter this wouldn't be a problem. But I got used to running with it high on my waist and it worked great.
