great hard back book for my son

Got this for my nephew and he absolutely loves it!

Great book for a curious mind. My son with autism loves this book a it illustrates how things work. Pictures are clear and informative. Good quality hardback book. Great gift.

Very cool book, even I learned things. Got it for a 5 yro, he loves it and wants to do all the experiments. Some content is over his head still, but for the most part we were able to read all of it and he really enjoyed it including diagrams that further the explanations. I'd recommend if you have a kid who is really into science and non-fiction, but not for any younger than 5.

I gave this book and a companion book (5,000 Awesome Facts (About Everything!) to my friends, 9 and 12 year-old brothers, and love both. Of course, I had to take a peek inside before wrapping the gifts, and I loved them, too. They were a big hit.
