Collection 1 - Great Start
Story - 4.5/5While enjoyable, the series itself does move quite fast, which can serve as both an advantage and a disadvantage. Not irrevocably so however as it only moves a bit too fast towards the final few episodes.Animation - 5/5Very well polished, great character designs and near flawless animationScore - 5/5Voice Acting (Dub) - 4/5 A very enjoyable dub. A few of the casting choices may seem a bit odd, but the majority of these characters do have a key moment where the voice actors do really sell you on why they were cast for their respective roles. And then some who just blend in perfectlyBonuses: 4/5The Red Book bonus exclusive I this release is a very extensive 100 page book with interviews and production materials is a really cool addition. The poster (Akame/Esdeath) is pretty standard but also a pleasant addition. The temp tattoos are fun, but obviously use then sparingly.OverallA purchase I personally don't regret, a great addition to any collection. A bit on the privet side but I enjoy all the bonuses I got with my purchase, all the way down to the stickers.Great action with a very enjoyable story and some awesome characters. Looking forward to the next release

Bloody good fun
Highly bloody and gruesome anime series, definitely not for the faint of heart, but well worth to buy and watch, because this is one shounen series where the losers are killed at the end of the fights, instead of making friends with them or escaping to fight another round later. So the fights actually have some stakes for once, it's too bad the antagonist are usually just a bunch of crazies. The collector's edition is nothing much. The art box looks nice and it's sturdy enough, the artbook is also a welcomed addition (although half of it is black&white for no reason) and the poster would be great if it was not folded. But the DVDs are useless when you already have the BD and the stickers/tattos are a bad joke.Compared to the regular edition it's not worth the extra money - luckily I got it for the same £14.95 price.

Amazing value for money
This is cheaper than alot of other sets and has a lot of merchandise including a poster and stickers. I love the addition of the black and red books for extra lore and the series itself is one of my favourite.

Brilliant Series
I did love this series. Everything was good. Even the fact that the heroes did not always survive kept you engrossed hoping that your favourite would last the course. Well thought out, good plot, great graphics and one you have just got to see to the end.
