These, are some REALLY good cables
Everything was amazing. The cables where completely clean, and thick enough that they aren't an issue trying to hold and plug in. The picture quality is obviously better than AV connection.. though at the same time it was just also better than what I'd think it'd look like. Installing it was a breeze as well, since it's color coded properly, and makes the cables look just that much nicer

Just like the original
When I got rid of our old TV with component RGB cables I figured I would be unlikely to ever find another TV that still used those ports and traded in the OEM Wii component cable for the copper scrap metal. So then when I moved and ended up buying an older, used TV and discovered it had RGB ports, I found myself needing a new cable. The picture quality from a Wii is not great, it's built for older technology, but it was significantly better than the red/white/yellow cables I was using before -- it's worth the upgrade. As far as I can tell, these are just as good as the OEM cable.By the way, there are other adapters out there that convert from Wii output to HDMI. That will give you the same high quality picture as this product, but not the audio, that's why those adapters have a separate audio port on them -- HDMI requires digital audio, and Wii outputs only analog audio. If you have the input ports on your TV to support RGB plus the RCA-style audio cables, this product is a better option. If you don't and you must use HDMI, you're going to need something else (like headphones or computer speakers) to plug into the audio port of the adapter.

Good picture, works like it should, but a little bit of advice...
Just make sure you have the cable fully plugged in on the Wii and your HDTV. I have my Wii softmodded to play emulators, and I got this cable to help improve the picture on the emulators, but the first time I plugged this into my Wii, the colors on the screen were all washed out. I thought I had a defective cable, and was about to ship it back, but somehow, when I had the r-w-y cable back in, the tv had a black screen for the emulator I was using, realizing I had forgotten to change the video settings back before changing them back, so I plugged the component cable back in, so I could see what I was doing, and the colors were coming in great all of a sudden! So I personally concluded that I must have not had the cable fully secured on either end. Conclusion: It does the job for an affordable price, the picture is good, just make sure you you have the cable fully plugged in on both ends.

It works, and works well!
Okay, I thought my 7 year-old Wii had bit the dust when it's display started dropping the red component and rendering the screen in shades of green and yellow. Turns out it was just a cable which had gone belly up. I had the Wii connected to my 48 inch Vizio LED screen and my Yamaha RX 475 receiver with another Wii component cable and a component cable extension. I figured out that the cables were the problem by connecting another Wii which showed the same symptoms. Not willing to expend the extra time to narrow the problem down, I purchased this new Wii component cable and used another brand new component extension cable that I already had. Problem solved. Now within the next few days I will be replacing the Wii with a Wii U that my wife and I got for each other for Christmas. According to all that I have read, this cable set-up will give us 1080p from the Wii U with no problems. So we're looking forward to another 7 years of Mario Kart bliss... Mario Kart 8 this time!Edit as of April 26, 2015:I did connect the new Wii U with this cable and it functions perfectly in all its 1080p glory! Ps. the reason I'm using the component cable instead of HDMI is that I just don't have enough HDMI inputs available on my Yamaha receiver - and this works well enough that I don't feel I'm missing out on anything.

Works as intended!
Very easy to install, plug and play. Most problem I have is games without progressive scan, they a bit fuzzy or you can see scan lines.

Game Changer!
If you are having issues with an HDMI port in your TV, or you don't have any HDMI ports left available, this is for you!Recently I plugged my WiiU into my circa 2005 Sony HDTV, with the HDMI cable that comes with the WiiU. All I received for a picture was a blurry and wavy picture with audio, I then purchased this product. The shipping was fast, arriving within the day of purchasing it. After plugging it into my WiiU, I now have 1080i HD and can use my WiiU as I want. There are a couple things you need to think about when purchasing this product. When you first plug the cables into the WiiU and your TV, you may not get any picture. This is becuase your WiiU is still set up for an HDMI cable, and not the Component cords. Here is what you need to do:*Go into the system settings on the WiiU gamepad.*Scroll over until you get the "TV settings" tab*change the "TV Connection Type" from HDMI to Non-HDMI*Once completed, change the "TV Resolution type" from 1080p to 1080iNow you should have high definition picture, and sound!
