Amazing Ointment - Vet Recommended!
We have pugs.Anyone who knows pugs (or has even seen a pug) knows their big ol' bulbous eyeballs are enough to get a Veterinarian salivating when thinking about their job security. Our amazing Veterinarian is a pug expert, and recommended this ointment for our senior pug when his eye consistently had discharge, and we didn't want to overwhelm his little system with constant antibiotics.Enter this amazing antibacterial ointment! Oh puggy joy! Within a DAY this ointment cleared up the discharge, and we had gorgeous, shiny, healthy puggy eyeballs once again (until the next incident, of course!). Our Veterinarian's Office said they always have this ointment on-hand, and we were really grateful that they recommended this instead of up-charging us for a much more expensive product. The texture of this ointment is easy to work with and apply. I did discover early on that I only needed a tiny amount of pressure to get a lot of product to come out, and after that I ended up squeezing opposite sides to keep the tube from auto-squeezing out everything it had. A minor issue, probably user error.Even though this is a somewhat smaller tube, for the price point it's worth it! We applied twice daily, and we're about to get several month's use out of one tube, with several eyeballs incidents.Thank you for creating and offering an amazing product that genuinely works and is Veterinarian recommended!

CATS EYES MATTER!-This is actual antibiotics, not just moisturizing anti-itch ointment
Even though the tube seems small for the price, it is soooo worth it once you see the results. You don't have to use very much. I've lost count of how many stray cats had their eyesight saved with this ointment over the years. It isn't for moisture/lubricant/allergy/itchy relief, etc. This is for bacterial infections, pink-eye, etc. I use it for kittens that keep having eyes matted shut with nasty green gunk, and for cats with red puffy eyes (Like SweetPea had) & scratches from rough play or fighting. This ointment doesn't seem to be painful to the cats and it's easy to apply directly from the tube or with your fingertip. It's dense, not like a lotion. I keep kittens separated from mama for an hour or mama will lick the ointment away thinking her baby needs cleaned up. It's used for horses, dogs, cats, etc. I promise this works fast and you won't be disappointed. I hope my photos help to show that. I don't write many reviews, but this one's truly important. Vet appts are expensive, so many cats lose an eye without antibiotic treatment. This ointment saves you money and saves kitties eyesight.

This stuff works.
I rescued a meezer mix kitten that required surgery on his left eye. Afterwards the vet prescribed 0.5% Erythromycin ointment twice daily for 10 to 14 days.About 8 days in and unable to cone him (he was too small), Shadow, the meezer kitten developed a little blood blister in the center under his eyelid. I continued the treatment for the full 14 days but there was no improvement. The blister size ranged from about 1 to 2mm. His eye was watery but not gooey or pussy.Looking for non vet options first, I found this listing and after researching and reading reviews, i decided to give it a try before hauling him back to the vet.My first worry was reading some people's accounts of adverse reactions. So I made sure I was around to monitor him for 4 hours after giving him the first treatment. He was used to getting his eye medicated but this stuff was definitely different. From his reaction I would say it was a tad more uncomfortable but he still tolerated it well.He had no adverse reactions. So I kept with it and on day three the blister thing was gone. I stopped treatment and it hasn't returned since.I did not take "before" pictures because but he is fully recovered and gives it two paws up.As long as you don't have an emergency situation that requires an immediate vet visit, I would definitely recommend to try this stuff.(BTW, I noticed no weird smell.)

Good product but box was smashed up a bit
I had to drop one star because for paying the full price of $32.25, the medicine should've been packaged more carefully. There are cheaper ointments available but the nozzles are too big and too much ointment comes out...and this is a tiny tube so I don't want to waste it! The nozzle on this one is much thinner so less comes out. Once again...for paying full price, it should be packaged better.

Works Amazing
Better than the eyedrops my veterinarian prescribed. Seriously this ointment works amazing. My cat has herpes and was is a rescue cat and his eyes were severely infected. The eye drops did not work well enough. Within two hours of using this product I saw a huge difference. Ok now for the downside, my cat hated it more than the eyedrops. Be sure to do the burrito trick with a towel and watch a youtube video on how to apply the product as I did. It was difficult getting it in his eye at times just make sure you get it in there and make you clean the eyes well before getting it in there.
