What is the stated thickness?

It's about 1mm twine. Might be thick enough to make a very delicate macrame bracelet. More for using on greeting cards, etc. for decoration. I wouldn't use for anything that needs strength... Need to go thicker. This thickness is about the same as decorative baker's twine used in crafts.

Trying to make a trellis. Will this last outdoors for the summer?

Yes, I have used this outdoors for a trellis for my cucumbers. I double it up though.

Want to use this for nesting material for my canary. Is this really natural and untreated?

Hello. This is an old thread, but I thought I would offer some experience. I used to groom dogs professionally. A bird breeder used to come in to collect clean, white hair (cream) hair for his nesting finches and canaries. Only from a cleaned dog. It was easy to provide that to him and in one trip, he had a good, long-lasting supply of natural nesting material for free! His birds only chose white or cream. :-)
