Incredable float switch right here. I used this float submerged in 175 degree water for over 3 weeks. It worked perfectly the entire time. Did not expect it to last due to the water temp. I was wrong. Pretty impressive float switch. Would buy again in a minute!!!

After a little over a year from installation, this switch still works well. I also purchased a SeaChoice model about the same time that has already failed. This has been the best level switch I've used in several years, including the "Rule" model. I have become frustrated with buying new switches every 6-12 months due to horrible quality. This one seems to be among the better ones but would still rather have a real old-time mercury-wetted, tried and true, type.

Worked perfectly and arrived quickly. We are very happy with the addition to our boat.

This switch worked fine when installed and turned off and on manually. Left boat with new bilge pump and switch in automatic mode.After a rain in the area I returned to check the boat. Found several inches of water in bilge, new bilge pump motor was fried. Found out that the new float switch would turn on when water level had risen to a level that activated the switch, but once activated the switch never turned off. I figure the bilge pump must have run dry until the motor burned out. Very dissupointed because this float switch was twice the cost of others switches that have function great for years. Now I need to replace the new pump and switch.

Nothing better than peace of mind knowing your marine parts are ready at all times. The quality and craftsmanship in this switch is unequivocally to cheap replicas. Don't be fooled, buy it right the first time in the water your life is dependant on it.

The float switch would not turn off after pumping out the bilge. I put a package of five one ounce sinkers on top of the float held on by a plastic wire tie. It now turns off.

Wired it directly to the battery so that it is always available to switch the bilge pump on. Tested and it works perfectly.

Original RULE switch (fairly new) would occasionally not "start" unless given some wave action, and needed a larger swing area under engine block.Heavy rain and calm marina was a recipe for disaster.After checking on boat and finding it didn't engage (starter almost under water on new 5L merc.)I installed this this one.3 days of rain and every day I check it, it has done it's job more efficiently than RULE brand.Cheeper than a $25K engine replacement.
