This is OK, BUT it leaks honey when its resting, so not ideal….

Small hairline crack in body.
Bought this unit as I was fed up spooning clear honey from jars. The reason I bought this unit is because it said in the spiel, that it was dishwasher and hot water safe. The unit has a screw off top, which you remove from the liquid receptacle. A small rubber bung plug has to be inserted into the receptacle base before filling with honey. The receptacle is placed into a plastic holding cup to allow this operation. When the unit is full of liquid the top is screwed back on and the bung plug is then removed for operation. During continual use of this unit I have found it to be messy as the drips fall into the holding cup. Also you have to be a bit selective as to what type of honey you use. I found that clear, less viscous honey is the best as thicker honey does not flow so well. On occasions I have had the place the unit in a cup of hot water to enable the honey to start moving. I have always washed the unit manually in soapy water and now have found a small hairline crack in the unit body, so I am having to wipe the unit every-time after use. As long as it does not get worse I can live with it. Disappointed though as I have not had it that long and it has not been mis-used.

Can be sluggish in cold weather
The honey dispenser or the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch (you'll get it if you're a Monty Python fan) as its called in my house is a handy little gadget. Means that I can pour honey into my tea or drizzle it onto my toast without ending up with a stick knife or honey spoon to deal with. Can be used for things like golden or maple syrups too.Only thing I've found is that as its winter here and I live in Scotland that the honey is a little viscous and therefore takes a while to pour out compared to honey say in a plastic squeezy bottle (but trying not to use those these days). Still if you keep it somewhere warm or when the weather warms up it'll flow faster again.Easy to fill (keep the little filling bung somewhere safe!) and to clean out should the honey begin to crystallise. Even without the storage base I've found no leakage which is good as honey can make a sticky mess if spilled.

Good…
Easy to use but the quality of plastic is not good..

Only useful for very runny honey
Didn’t work for me as I buy organic artisan honey which isn’t as runny as supermarket honey so wouldn’t flow through the small spout at the bottom. Makes me wonder what’s in supermarket honey!

Great but a little awkward
So I love how the product works, easy to use and great for evenly distributing honey. The only issue is the refilling, DO NOT lose the rubber nipple that comes on the end of the bottle/container, it will make refilling a nightmare. That is the only downside I have found.

Item does the job for a low price
Item works fine and easy to use but the silver coloured trimming is plastic and was chipped .around the edges. Next time I ll look for one with metal trim and pay more for it and its a lovely looking dispenser

Attractive and practical dispenser
We like the appearance, and the action of the dispenser, which we use for honey. It would be helpful to have some sort of stopper to put in the bottom of the dispenser, while filling. We have found that the simplest way is to hold a clean or plastic gloved finger over the base while filling, to prevent the contents from spilling out.
