Masterfully presented, The Permaculture Orchard: Beyond Organic features wonderful cinematography and is pact full with an abundance of useful information on permaculture methods. If you are interested in growing any scale of farm or garden sustainably and in a way that works with nature then this video is bound to provide knowledge to not only help the new grower but will likely have information beneficial to even seasoned growers as well.I would also recommend this dvd to anyone interested in nature or curious about how food can be grown.I highly recommend this DVD.

The production values on this were great. All filming done on sunny days. Processes explained (like grafting or planting a tree) and then executed in fast forward, so no boring stuff to sit through. The narrator is very open and honest. My husband (who is not a permie, or even a gardener) was impressed that he was honest about his mistakes, sharing them so you don't repeat them. Many ingenious permie-style solutions. Not a blow by blow how to (which would be boring) but lots of info and inspiration.

I like this documentary, but there is no detailed instruction at all, which is what I wanted. Not a video for beginners who need specifics.

I wish I had this DVD years ago, where was it!!! Anyway, this is excellent information and presentation of a subject that is hard to get information on. You will plan a grocery store for yourself in an easy way. It is easy to understand and clear information. You will also receive a list of plants to help you in your selections. Too bad this was not available 20 years ago, I could already have my own grocery store. You will enjoy it.

this is a Great video on Permaculture, especially for the beginner. we bought a farm which was ahold permaculture farm in the 1900s. this video was great for us to understand why the owners back then did what they did. it helped us save a lot of fruit trees and lower some of the nitrogen building trees that had gotten to big. otherwise we would have probably cut most of the wood down without knowing why the trees were placed the way they were.. A+++++++++

At first I wasn't too impressed with the film since a lot of it is just him saying how he does things, and much of it doesn't apply to my situation (I don't want plastic landscaping mulch all over my farm, and have no need to water trees in my climate), but some of the things he said stuck in my head and I keep remembering them and want to use them, so I've changed my mind and really value the DVD. It's definitely worth the $20 to anyone interested in permaculture and/or growing their own fruit. The section on grafting is really good. I wish they'd taken more time to film the orchard during different seasons, tho.

This movie is inspiring. A Perennial Biodiverse Temperate Climate Orchard. This man needs to write text books on the craft, if he did I would buy them. All in all a beautiful system using no Poisonous Sprays. Methods from this system can be easily adopted for Tropical and Arid Climates.

This is an inspiring collection of good ideas and tips. It's well told and the film is a joy to watch.It is not a comprehensive guide to permaculture or to establishing an orchard, though when he explains specific techniques, he explains them well.

very interesting video. Good information and can easily be applied to British orchard.
