I bought one of these. It has major magnetic power but is very heavy (approx. 4 pounds). Now in use for making magnetic water with south pole side and edges covered in duck tape. To date my ceramic magnets have shown zero tendency to rust. For personal use ceramic seems to be your best choice, and you must have a way to tell north from south; as with a permanently marked magnet,This one is not marked at all. North always goes toward the body or other substances to be magnetised. Please, be careful with this one, attraction can cause injury by pinching fingers, or if dropped on foot. Bye andgod Bless

You can't beat the price on this magnet and these magnets are great for charging water and general healing. The only downside to this magnet is they don't have the poles marked so you have to do that yourself and for a novice, it might prove tricky.

this is a powerful magnet that is large enough to use for healing. Would have like for the positive and negative sides to have been marked.

I got my magnet and I love to use it. The block is made of ceramic. Well, that means it can chip very easy. People should try to exercise some care. Still, you cannot beat the nice price. Make sure if you buy two magnets to be careful with your fingers as these ceramic magnets are very strong and can pinch you.

I bought this to hold Dottie caps on the table in my husbands man-cave. It has turned out to be a fun conversation piece.

Heavy duty magnet. This is a heavy slab of a magnet. It is just what I wanted to use as a medical magnet. Strong but brittle so don't drop it.

Do not use these for healing application because the surfaces are uneven! Doubt that use a small magnet and slowly traverse the surface of one of the larger magnets and you will find points at which the small magnet will be repelled or it will stick, a magnet that has distinct polarized sides will not do this.
