We use this often for reheats, frozen entrees/sides, etc. It works well in a large toaster oven, and washes up easily. Love using the lid to avoid splatters. Love avoiding plastic. Use care when you remove this from oven. The lid shifts (only downside).

I am really trying to cut down on cooking big meals.Since having Covid twice, my tastes have altered. I used to LOVE leftovers, but now, not so much.Over the past few years, I have tossed out so much food that I had left over and just couldn't face eating it.I used to offer some to my neighbors before I even dished up my portion. Once or twice, they took some, but that was it. Maybe they thought that I'm the crazy old lady from next door or maybe I'm just a bad cook!!!So, this little casserole dish is just what I needed.It can hold a fair amount of food, without being too much.So far, I've made mac and cheese, I'm still trying to cut that recipe down, cornbread, half of a homemade cake recipe and a veggie casserole.It fits great in my air fryer (cornbread) but for some reason the bottom didn't really brown.I like the fact that I can use the lid to cook something small...steam veggies in the microwave or use it to warm stuff up.All in all, I think this is a pretty great cooking vessel. Very easy to clean. I usually spray it with Pam, and it comes out of the dishwasher spotless.I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this purchase.

Bought this to replace a favorite pyrex casserole from the 50's, accidently dropped and cracked!) Woeks well. Nice to have the matching cover.

Casserole appears to be well-made. It has never-ending uses.

The lid is flat on the top so good for in more narrow places in refrigerator, also can lay light items on top. Lid can also double as a serving dish.Based on the dishes I own, I have found that the Lid and bowl are also lighter vs my other casserole dishes.After using this dish for awhile, only item so far that I could see that needs a small improvement is the lid - when condensation forms at the top at times when dripping down the side can leak out.Other Casserole dishes that I own does not have this issue, lid fits more fully and condensation stays inside.Overall, great little Casserole dish that I find helpful with cooking.

As a single person who likes to cook, this is the perfect dish for baking or warm-ups. I'll bake six chicken thighs and three potatoes and place a thigh and baked potato in a freezer bag. To cook or warm, I place the thigh, potato, and frozen corn or mixed veggies into this glass dish with a cover and place it in the oven for 20 minutes. The glass allows me to see if it is done and ready to eat. I do this same routine for pork chops, pepper steak, and more. Clean up is easy too, soapy water and a rinse!

Update: The replacement casserole arrived so quickly and it is perfect! No rocking at all. Very pleased!Simax dishes are great for storing leftovers in the fridge. The design is so smart. The side handles are comfortable and secure to hold. The flat lids make it easy to store other dishes or items on top, both in the fridge and in the cupboard. We are slowly replacing Pyrex-style 2-qt. casserole dishes with Simax. (Pyrex all have handles jutting up from the top of the lid which takes up valuable space in our fridge and cupboards.) Another reason we’re enthusiastic about these dishes is that we’d like to eliminate as much plastic as possible from our food and kitchen, and these are 100% glass. The glass is relatively light but very strong. We have sets of glass storage dishes from Snapware and Pyrex but the lids on those sets are all plastic and they don’t last very long. I have a bunch of lids that are breaking, cracking, or warped. Very pleased with Simax, and with Millvado. *The one drawback is that on one of the dishes I received, the lid didn’t rest well on the top of the casserole. The casserole rim wasn’t quite level so the lid rocked more than we wanted. I sent it back yesterday and the new replacement is due to arrive tomorrow. Excellent customer service by Amazon and Millvado. PS - I don’t cook casseroles in round dishes very often so I haven’t used these dishes for baking yet.

I really love this casserole dish. The size and quality is very good. I also love the lid that fit well without being difficult to remove. The handles on the lid protrude out some so that it won’t be hard to remove it. That was a concern I had, but not a problem at all. The lid can be stored upside down inside the dish or underneath it. The lid is also nice enough to be used as another shallow dish to cook or even serve on. I am very happy with the quality and would love to get other pieces from this manufacturer.The first of these casseroles I got was the 1 1/2 quart. I loved it so much that I ordered a 24 Oz one. Then I ordered a 1 quart one. I love all of these so much. I even find when I hand wash them that the water kind of beads up like it does on a waxed car. These are such a great quality and I used both the casserole and the lid as a dish for snacks. So they serve a dual purpose, eliminating a few other things from my cupboard.

I spent a lot of time looking for a good quality baking dish with a lid after our 30 yr old pyrex bowl broke. I chose this one based on other reviews and I'm thrilled that I did! I use it pretty well every day - either with or without the lid. I acutally use the top as a baking dish almost as much as I use the bottom when I don't need to bake covered! It's such a great size for using in our toaster oven. I highly recommend this product.

This dish and cover are beautiful....Best glass container I have ever seen.... so lovely!!Great with a cover.... Use it in the oven all the time.
