First step is the hardest
Construction for this kit starts with the structure inside the wing for the wheel wells, and I found this incredibly difficult. I'm not sure if it was a manufacturing issue on my copy, but I could not get the top and bottom halves of the wing to close properly and had to ditch some of the wheel well structure in order to get them even remotely flush. As a result, my model had to do without important structural parts for lining up the main landing gear, resulting in me gluing them quite crooked.Paints were in terrible condition except for the Humbrol 90, came in solid large chunks, which still wouldn't fully dissolve when I watered the paints down.Great cockpit detail, recommend gluing the canopy open.

Good kit, worth it
This kit actually surprised me, I wasn’t intending to buy it because of the expensive price but I’m really glad I did. The new tooling really pays off as the pieces fit together very well in my opinion. Paints that you need are all included to make at least a decent kit. Would recommend to mainly new beginners into the hobby and experienced alike for a step back to the beginner levels. The price is a bit highly but definitely worth it.

Good product
This was a gift. I had shipped right to my nephew. They loved it, everything in the kit easy to follow. Said it was small (old eyes) and took awhile to ship so that’s the only reason for four stars not five. Will buy again.

A great way to (re)begin
It's been maybe 30 years since I've assembled an airfix model. I remember it fondly. I decided to try something again all these years later and alls I can say is I plan to do more. It was a very therapeutic way to avoid the kids whilst we're in lockdown! It comes with everything you need as it's a starter set. Paints, glue, paint brush and decals. I did have some sharp snips for removing them from the spuce/frame.For my next build I've got some precision applicator glue, more brushes, different tweezers, file, a scalpel like craft knife and a mat/pad to save the table and to make life easier. It's all optional though.I haven't built enough to talk about accuracy, build quality etc. For me and for the price it was absolutely fine. It is smaller than I remember and can be fiddly so patience is a plus for the smallest pieces.I feel it will be good for casual modellers. These days there is YouTube to turn to for build advice as well. Something we never had. I think everything was assembled before we painted it and I dont ever remember adding decals when I was a kid! Live and learn.

Check the paints first
Decent little model, however half the paints were dried up and not usable.I had to buy more so my son could complete the model

Royal pain in the ***
After finishing the easy to put together spitfire of Airfix's starter range I was quite eager to get to work on the hurricane, unfortunately many parts refused to go into place without modification and a bit of elbow grease and overall the experience was far less smooth than the spitfire. The model is quite detailed, its a shame the wings are barely attached to the fuselage :(
