GDFBAB0126 Scalloped Leather Covered Buckler, 12", Multi

Not for full SCA contact, there are others out there, but it is good for training and compliments my outfit well.

This buckler is actually leather covered, not paint as another poster said. It is also not really suited for combat. The rivets on the handle pulled out after about 2 hours of used against an arming sword. It seems like the buckler is just too heavy for the rivets. Obviously, the handle can be fixed, but I wouldn't recommended this for adults to spar with. They get two stars because it IS pretty and they don't actually claim that it is combat ready.

Came in a box wrapped in newpaper. It came pretty dirty and oily so you would need to clean this up when you get it. Quality-wise it seems pretty sturdy. Taking off stars because of misleading title; it's not "leather covered", but just "leather-colored paint".

Excellent shield for the price! Great weight, rivets strong, and looks fantastic. The color is slightly different but I like it. (Burgundy )

as with nearly every thing in their catalogue this buckler is well made and attractive lightweight weight enough for those tourneys that seem to go on for ever and stout enough for a practiced fighter to manage most attacks on the melee field. good stuff.

Good buckler but the handle is a bit weak and can flex under use.
