easy to install, and works like it should

My old Craftsman mower was nearing its end. It runs great, but the old power drive handle had shattered last year and I wasn't about to spend real money on it due to its age. I was all set to go out and spend $500 or for a new mower when I decided to look for a new drive handle / cable. I came across this part and I bought it by eyeballing the picture and thought oh what the heck. If it is not the part, it cost me $20. It was a perfect fit. The old Craftsman mower lives to cut another season.

This product seems identical to the original except the cable appears to be about 1 or 2 inches shorter. I had to route it differently than the original but it works fine and will keep my old Craftsman lawnmower running for yet another season. The price can't be beat and the shipping was very fast.

Part mounts as OEM part did and allows me to shift in and out of drive, but does not function same as original. Can shift without releasing handle and can move in opposite direction that it should travel.

My old lever broke. I tried to take it apart to see if I could fix it, and found that there were broken internal plastic parts. I bought this replacement for the lever and cable. I had a problem with the lever not locking into place after I installed it, but the seller asked a couple questions and then quickly sent a second one. The second one works perfectly. It was easy to install, too.

I ordered this for my "Craftsman Lawn Mower model # 917.379203" and it fit like a glove. The cable was slightly longer than the original which is not a big deal at all. Don't over tighten when you install the assembly to the push bar as it won't pop back when disengaged. This came out to a little over 18 dollars with shipping compared to other sites that wanted 35 + dollars plus shipping. I received the part 3 days after I put the order. I can't say enough good about this purchase! AAA +++ transaction!

Took me a few minutes to get the old cable off but the new control was easy to put on ! Plastic not as heavy but worked very good so far ! ! Price was very good
