Solar Crimping Tools MC3 MC4 Solar Panel Crimper for 2.5-6.0mm² 26-10 AWG Solar Panel PV Cable Wire Terminal Connectors

I'm trying to make custom wires for my computer, and let me start by saying, this aint it chief. I roamed the internet trying to find a decent crimping tool that wasn't $40-$50, and i stumbled upon this. I thought this would be decent enough for me to use, I was mistaken.I have bent soooo many terminals to twisted metal with this thing, I have probably wasted the $20ish dollars I saved by buying this cheap thing. The crimps come out 2.5/10 on the correct crimp scale.Other crimpers that I have seen have a little point in them at the top of the spot which you are pressing the "wings" down in order to make them cave in and bite into the wire, however, this tool is just flat, and leaves the "wings" flat and very wide, almost too wide to get a normal cable sleeve over it.I would not recommend this product to anyoneStay Away.

Where this tool does create a very strong crimp, be warned, you had better summon the powers of Thor to help you clamp down blue or yellow, because this thing is required the strength of a Norse God to clamp it all the way. If you have many connections to make, your hands will remind you the next day how you shouldn’t have been cheap when buying a crimping tool. It does the job, but if I were to buy again, I’d research and pick up something with a bit more bite and less hand fatigue.

I was expecting a tool that was easier to use without having to exert a great deal of force to make a crimp. You have to put a lot of force with your hands to make a decent crimp. It is better than the cheap crimpers and feels like it is well built, but I would spend another 10 bucks or more and get a tool that requires less strength.

I have been looking for a solid dependable crimping tool for everyday use. I had attempted using another company to purchase a similar product (pay pal-getgotgotten) but I got taken with no product delivered. I then went to Amazon and found the crimpers I was looking for. These crimpers compress the terminal securely and quickly. I am a very happy crimper. Looking for good products delivered as promised, use AMAZON.

Great tool for the price, used on multiple size and multiple brand terminals, works very well doesn't damage plastic insulation, makes a very strong tight connection compared to the general wire stripper crimping all-in-one tool which most people get with a terminal assortment.

Crimping tool is complete junk. I bought this tool in September 2019 in anticipation of installing my daughters car stereo for her. Well these crimpers will NOT come unlocked unless you use slightly tap on the locking mechanism, THAT doesn't work to well under a dash. DO NOT BUY THESE ARE JUNK.

I bought this crimp tool 6 months ago and finally got around to using it recently on a small job with my garage door opener. The first crimp i tried to apply and the tool failed with the jaws locking closed. After some messing around with it i got them open again adjusted it and tried again. Same issue. I am an electeical engineer and have used a veriety of crimp tools of varying quality over the years. These were absolutely the worst. You get what you pay for I guess. Away to re-order a better pair.

Crimper does a very good crimp but the effort is high. Don't use these all the time, so I may make handle extensions to increase leverage. I do like the tool, and it does the job. Requires more effort than the cheap tools, but end result is worth the extra effort.
