Was skeptical at first weather this hat would fit. Bought one at first to try it out, was a little big for my 1 and a half year old but was able to adjust size to make it fit snug. My son is now 3 going on 4 this July and the hat still fits and is holding strong. We spend most of the summer at the beach. Traveled to cancun and hiking and with my kiddos sensitive skin this hat has keep his face sunburn free whenever he wears it. Love that the back can be taken off, which we do when he swims in the pool. This is definitely a great buy. So much so that I bought another one.

This hat was amazing. It fit my 8yr old son and 4yr old son and was easily adjustable. Bonus - you can get them wet to cool off and not only do they hold their shape, they dry quickly. No complaints from the kiddos and perfect for this mama.

This hat covered from the sun very well. Loved the strap that kept it from blowing off into the ocean.

I purchased this hat for my 6 year old daughter. There are several features I like about this hat. First off, the back neck flap can be removed, as well as, the chin strap. My daughter has Sensory Processing Disorder and this hat would have been useless if not for these detachable parts. The hat is also adjustable on the top of the hat so it stays on her head easily without the chin strap. I have two minor complaints about the hat. The first being that unless you tuck the child’s ears in then it causes the ears to stick forward. I have a similar style hat for adults that does the same thing so maybe it’s just this type of hat design or my family has big ears. My second minor complaint is that the hat’s rim isn’t completely flat just slightly warped even when I try to bend it to make it flat. Even with these minor complaints then I’m happy I purchased this for our summers outside.

We have 2 unused kid hats with neck flaps that my toddler hates because when there's wind, the brim ends up sticking to his face. This hat is amazing in this respect. Super travel-able, package, but yet has a stiff brim, and adjustable lanyard. It also dries SUPER FAST. Our son wore this while we were snorkeling on the ocean in Maui. He flipped or fell off momentarily and the waves took it :( but I think it was likely user-error on our part, we left the adjustable lanyard on a super-loose setting. In retrospect I am going to tighten it. Otherwise, toddler was on a snorkeling raft w/ plenty of Hawaiian sun and this hat protected his neck and has been the best hat we've gotten for him.

Our son recently had surgery on his neck right at the start of summer, leaving a large scar that is very sensitive to the sun. We bought this hat to protect the scar. I was worried he would complain about having to wear it all summer- but it’s super comfortable, lightweight and he has no issues wearing it. He even wore it in a pool for 4 hours and it dried very fast! Ended up getting my husband a matching one too!

Was skeptical at first. After taking it to the beach with my daughter and son, they were able to wear the entire day. Their neck was protected, it would not fall off, and after getting soaked a hundred times it would dry up fast and go back to its original shape. They did not get burned and I’m so happy with this product. I never write reviews but I had to for this.

Well, my nephew hated it. He opened it and threw it aside. His Mom put it on his head and he ripped it off and threw it on the ground while he was running away. I thought it would be nice when they go camping since his parents just bought a brand new camper the month before. Aside from that drama, this is a very cute and well made hat. The light grey color was very nice. I highly recommend it. It will protect your child from a sunburn which is never good no matter what your skin type. My mother died from eye melanoma so I take this very seriously. Guess the relatives don't! Oh well!
