Love...Among The Stars: The Laugh Out Loud Spalding Bestseller! (The Love…Series Book 4)

I really enjoyed the first 3 books, but I struggled to get through this one. I am very surprised by all of the 5 star reviews. The story didn't really have a natural flow. It was stalled out in book conventions with no real end game. The only vaguely interesting part of the book was cut short at the end (buy the next book maybe to get a better story). Plus he is obsessed with snubbing Americans in his books, but come to find out (spoiler) that his wife is half American!!The humor in this book was missing. There was nothing but potty jokes fit for third graders in this one. If an audience can't understand that people get colds at the worst times, they've never had a cold!!Really like this author, but skip this book in the series-you're not missing anything.

I bought this book based on reviews seen here. I was surprised that, indeed, I laughed out loud repeatedly, particularly during most of the first half of the book. Spalding is truly funny. Granted, much of the humor seems a bit slap-sticky which can lead to fatigue over time; I didn't fimd the secnd half of the book as funny. Nevertheless, a fine read.

Laugh until your stomach hurts or you wee on yourself. Mr. Spalding is hysterical funny. I have read all 4 books in this series. This is the series you want on your staycation. (stay at home vacation). Otherwise, your on the train on your way to work laughing hysterically and none wants to sit next to you cause they think your crazy.

Once again, I laughed out loud, with tears streaming down my face. Warning: This is naughty, adult humor, so if that is NOT your thing, you will not like this series. I personally feel it does a great job of bringing real life situations to the reader. It makes you think you aren't alone in what you are feeling or going through.

This series of books is one of the funniest I've read. Highly recommended this author. You will not be disappointed.

Not quite as funny as the previous books in this series. There were a couple of emotional moments, and one or two totally gross moments - but it's still entertaining and well-written.

Never disappointed when I buy a Nick Spalding book! Love Among The Stars made me laugh and cry! Excellent job! I laughed a lot more than I cried, sometimes I cried from laughing. I would recommend any of his books!

With life being constantly unkind, being in constant pain and feeling stressed 50% of the time (pretty sure that is most people's life right now) oh, and turning 60, there isn't too much to laugh about. My children recommended this series of books, although the language occasionally offended my eyes :-0 I have honestly laughed out loud so many times. This book is no exception, it's easy reading, funny and in places so hilarious, I have half choked to death! Please let there be a book 5, I have to know how the Newman's get on. Thank you for making life a little easier and funnier.

I've had this on my Kindle for a couple of months but decided to wait until I went on holiday so I could spend some quality time reading it. Once I start a Love... book I find it extremely hard to put down. In fact, I read most of it on the flight to my holiday destination. I love Jamie and Laura, they feel like old friends now and their daughter Poppy is now the sort of age where she has her own personality so that brings even more fun.In Love Among The Stars, which takes place four years after Love Under Different Skies, Jamie and Laura are successful authors and are trying to balance their new career with all the attention it brings and dealing with other personal issues. Just like the other books, it is laugh-out-loud humour and I just could not stop myself from laughing even though I was in a public area (I almost feel sorry for the two teenaged lads who had to sit next to me on the flight). You really have to wonder how these things can happen to one family, although there's nothing so outrageous that makes it feel unbelievable. Come to think of it, that's probably why it works so well - the things Jamie and Laura get up to could easily happen to you and Jamie and Laura are likeable and easy to relate to.If you have not read any of the Love... books before, it is highly recommended that you do before reading this one, as there are several references to the previous three books. It has been a while since I have read them myself, but I like them so much, that all the references to the other books came flooding back pretty much instantly.Another great read from Nick Spalding and look forward to book 5 in due course.

An entertaining read, spoilt for me by the bad grammar (yes, I do realise how pedantic that sounds!) - it's just that after a while, the use of 'sat' instead of 'sitting' and 'I' instead of 'me' really started to irritate! I happily admit I'm 'old school' and most people wouldn't be bothered about such things (my own grammar probably isn't perfect!) but I'm obviously just a very sad person - sorry!

Well,well another great book telling you of the in's and out's of this family's life with all the joys of life? along the way to stardom maybe (Warning includes product placement) or should we say book placement but then he is an author and in the end it is still a tale well told, enjoy the journey.

I am currently making my way through everything Nick Spalding has ever written. I discovered his books 2 weeks ago when I stumbled across Fat Chance which was being offered for free on the Kindle Store at the time. I have since finished 9 of his books and I am currently half way through Life On A High. However, what I need to know is when is the next Love... book coming? I need #5. Now please. Fat Chance and Bricking it are probably my favourites but I am quite invested in the Newmans.Love... On the Other Side of the Pond????? Maybe?
