Book 2 Was A Great Read!
Received This Book From Author For Honest Review & I Also Bought It!I Give this Book a 4.5/5 Star Rating, will List As 4 Though. If you Have and/or Read Book 1, You Won’t Be Disappointed With Book 2!Romance: 5/5Heat: 4.5/5Suspense: 4/5Drama: 4.5/5Dark: 2/5 (Level Wise, Not Rating Wise)Insta-Love(?): Heck to the No.HEA(?): Yes!!Predictable(?): Good Heavens No! LolThis book didn’t go the way I was anticipating it would. From The Way Book 1 Ended, Then Jumping Into This Book, I Was Anticipating...Between Charlotte & Easton:‘War & Maybe Explosions(??)’(I Don’t Think Literally Though... But Ya’Know ‘Plot Wise’...)When Charlotte returned to him, I was Expecting Strong Fighter also with an Awesome Mind Blowing Motive.Alas... that did not happen.BUT the way things DID go down.I won’t deny, I was continuously flipping (or technically swiping Lol) to the next page!Charlotte, Easton & a Few Other Characters, seemed to have been Dialed Down a bit more than I would’ve liked..The Way Romance was nudged(?) in the book...It seemed a tad out of character to me, cause it seemed a bit rushed at the ‘starting point’ of it.When Jill ‘Verbally Goosed’ Easton in the love direction, it was odd to me at how quick & willing he ‘went with/jumped on’ it.But a Bit After That (to me, it was) Stumble, The Romance Pace took a MUCH Better turn.I Would Not -At All- Classify This As Insta-Love (Thank Goodness!), I Would Classify This As A Medium/Slowish Burner Love and That Made Me SUPER Happy.I really did throughly enjoy it, some areas were so unexpectedly Soft & Sweet that (I Swear to You) I could hear Girls ‘Harmoniously Fawning’ over Easton and Won’t Deny, I Did Too LolPlease Give Deion A Book!I would love to know him a lot more!Highly Recommend This Book & Author! Will I Read More of Clarissa’s Books? Absolutely!!This is the Censored, Less Funny & Shortened Review.

Mixed feelings
I did enjoy most of this story but had a problems with the darker parts. For me it’s not okey to force many of the intimate scenes and have the other person accept and crave the offender. I would have liked the story better if he had become a nice guy earlier. Otherwise, liked this two book series.

Great conclusion
Charlotte finally is free from Easton and finds someone that helps her but even free she still feels that at times she’s a prisoner, always looking over her shoulder.Easton will do anything to have Charlotte back, including getting help from the man he hates, he can’t function without her.Charlotte can’t believe the length gone to or that Easton would do something like that, she has no choice she knows the only way is to return to Easton to save her friends daughter. After finding out more information she realises that Easton may not be the monster she thought he was, but she still hasn’t gotten any freedom, deciding to give into him, she doesn’t understand when he says it’s what he wanted but he wants her to be ready and she’s not.Easton just wants Charlotte to love him, he’s prepared to give her everything for that love, his assistant lets him know that she sees that Charlotte has feelings for him, that could end up with love but he hasn’t given her the one thing she wants more than anything, her freedom. Can Easton give Charlotte the one thing she wants so she will she how much he loves her, or will she keep feeling conflicted seeing him as the guard to her prison cell.

Great sequel
The first book had me riveted and enchanted that I needed to read what happened to Charlotte. I wasn’t disappointed in how this story concluded. So much drama, turmoil and action that I wanted to see if there will be a HEA. Great realistic ending for this fictional couple.

A Debt Repaid
I had to grab this book right away as the first book left me on the cliff. There is just something about a man who can redeem himself in the end. Not everyone's a fan this book is a little wild but a quick read.

Family
What can a family look like? Blood is not what makes a family in this dark romance. Love is what makes this family special.

Conflicted. Dark story!
I'm so conflicted with this book, and the series! It's a testament to how good Wild is with twisting you as the reader around with characters that are far from black and white. Easton is a pure sociopath with ocd tendencies. His actions were frightening! I cried in places. Wild uses perfect dark angst to tear my emotions to shreds. I hated Easton and hated Charlotte for her actions towards him. But it changed a little bit, but I still didn't understand it. But it's a great dark tale and not for everyone. I also didn't expect the ending. It's the books that make you conflicted that are the most memorable.

The word love doesn’t just mean words.but means action
I believe Easton really loves Charlotte. But I don't believe Charlotte loves him. The relationship between Charlotte and Daion is more realistic. Although Charlotte says he loves Daion as a friend, her actions are contradictory. I think the two are a perfect match. Poor Easton family. Even with the wrong start, he's just a man who hurts and needs love. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like Charlotte really loved him. Every time Charlotte goes to Daion Full of happiness, she hugged him, she smiled, she laughed, but with Easton I felt something strange. That's why I thought Charlotte has more feelings for Daion than Easton.P.S. I think Easton's motive to take revenge on Charlotte's family is too weak. And more of a character of Charlotte's father. seem unreasonable

Not convincing
The first book in this duet showed promise and I was keen to see the story develop. However, this instalment was really disappointing; the key characters are inconsistent and their actions are not at all believable. The ‘conversion’ of both main characters is weak and Ms Wild appears to write about BDSM, control and submission from a place of inexperience as these aspects seem very flawed, To leave a virgin chained by the neck kneeling at the foot of the bed with a vibrator stimulating her and climaxing repeatedly for ‘hours’ and she’s still lustful for sex afterwards is just unrealistic. And for someone self confessed on the autistic spectrum, I’m surprised at the lack of attention to practical details. I did read to the end, despite nearly not a few times, but I was glad to finish the book. Ms Wild does seem to have a fetish for having girls abducted and held captive and I fully understand the ‘falls for captor who turns out not to be so bad’ fantasy, but this one was not at all satisfying.

Part 2, from a Duet
This was a really engaging story. This novel picked up immediately after Part 1, and went straight into the action.I enjoyed the main character Charlotte the most. She was an amazing and relatable woman existing in a difficult situation. Her spirit shone so bright. There was also another two characters: Dion and Ashanti, who I really warmed to. Easton however, was a much more difficult character to like. He was arrogant, selfish, rude and thoughtless. There were moments where I thought he might become insightful and self-aware, but no he really was always a bit of an idiot. I think I enjoyed the story because of these major character flaws, it made me chuckle or gasp on several occasion.I particularly enjoyed the ending of the novel as it did have a bit of a twist. Charlotte really was a lovely character, and Easton was a hopelessly flawed man.

Great story
I liked the character's they melded effortlessly together. Easton although a complex man, I still found myself liking him.The love scenes where interesting, without being repetitive. This is the first time I have read anything by Clarissa Wild. Will be looking for another straight away.
