These look great for budget pedals, clearly nodding to more expensive platform pedals at the $50+ range. Looks are deceiving, these are not a slam dunk.Pros: Price, pedal cleat and platform look nice, coating seems durable.Cons: They are so packed with grease the pedal barely spins. These do not spin freely unlike other pedals. Not rebuildable. Lighter options are available in this price range.I would skip this pedal. There are better options available.

I am reviewing the ZUKKA mountain bike pedal with silver body and black aluminum grip portion secured with screws. I was, at first, happy to find these Wellgo brand pedals for a very good price. I have enjoyed similar pedals on other bikes I’ve owned. BUT, as soon as I tried these, I found less support under one foot than the other. It turns out that one side of these pedals supports the foot well, but the other side does not. Not a manufacturing defect, but a poor design choice, in my view. Yeah, you can turn the pedal over, but I don't want to be bothered by that each time I have taken my foot off the pedal. Please see the photo regarding the lack of proper foot support. I only wear a size 8. How poorly these must work for a size 12 shoe!The quality of the pedals seemed good: Steel spindles with well made, secure-fitting threads, shiny aluminum body and bright, well mounted reflectors. But, on the down side: I agree with others who say the spindle is somewhat stiff spinning. I returned my purchase.

Easy to install. Nice price point. Shipped really fast. Solid product all around

Fortunately these were to get me out of a bind while waiting for a different pedal. The bearings are pressed in so tight the spindle wouldn’t turn. I had to put them on a power drill and run them for 5 minutes each to make the function as a pedal and not a step. But hey they were cheap.

For the price these are great. I do agree that they are a little stiff but I think that they will loosen up with use. One thing I did notice is out of the box the paint is already flaking off of them though I dont consider that a very big issue as I am sure after one ride they will have quite the beating. All in all would recommend for this price point.

The pedal is light in weight, thin, sleek and has good grip for a shoe support while riding. 👍🏾
