My dog has a flea allergy so I have to keep him flea free. The vet only sold a 3 month chewable for $75. This works just as good, covers him for 6 months and half the cost.

I used this stuff last year and it worked amazing. 2 years ago I had gotten a new puppy. He has super thick(double coat) longer hair. He is a lab/husky mix so you could only imagine the type of hair I'm dealing with. The summer while he was a small puppy was the worst. I have two dogs and the other dog is short haired so not as many problems. But the puppy was bringing all kinds of fleas in on him even though he is an inside dog, all it took was going potty and bam, he was covered! Safe to say I did everything I could that summer except for this stuff to get them to die off. Bad idea! Always catch it before it happens cause once it does it seems as though you will never get rid of the suckers until winter hits! Well last year I did differently, I put this on both dogs in march and through October. It worked perfect! Not a flea in site anyway. This year I started even earlier, just applied today, so we shall see how this year goes, have feeling that it's gonna be a tough season if it's already getting into the 60s-70s in Kansas, in February!! I really think this stuff can handle it though! Let's hope so, cause there are not a lot of things I hate more than fleas jumping around the house!

I live in a crazy flea ridden area. Southern swamp fleas are really tough to keep away. If you've got the money, go with Nexgard. We don't, so we tried this product out. It works just as well as Frontline, which here, isn't wonderfully but good enough. When we lived in IL Frontline was plenty. We also wash pet bedding often, and use food grade diatomaceous earth. You've eaten it many times without realizing, farmers use it on wheat and other crops to kill destructive insects (caterpillars and other wormies with exoskeletons). This is a very safe method for killing adult fleas, hopefully before they can lay eggs. Don't buy the pool stuff, get food grade. Sprinkle it on the carpet before vacuuming. Once fleas come into contact with it, they die within 4 hours - it slices up their exoskeletons. Obviously we can't coat every flea, but doing this regularly really cuts down on the problem (nyuk) and is much safer than harsh chemicals - plus, no smell. Just like talcum powder, flour, and other particulates, avoid breathing it in, as it can be an irritant to your and your pet's lungs (no tossing it in the air and dancing under it naked, but a little shouldn't hurt). For those hard to vacuum areas like under furniture, sprinkle a bit and leave it. There are also these bulb things you can buy to spread the dust more evenly, but it's cheap so we just use a sifter or shaker bottle with small holes. We killed them inside, but they kept reappearing. We realized we have a screened in porch with sand and gravel right outside the back door. Fleas love that stuff. Sprinkled it in the gravel and added the porch to the regular DE routine and now it's unusual to find those devils. Our dog has bad allergies to fleas, so they still irritate him but once they've bitten him they're kaput. Good luck! And if you life in the Southeast, my sympathies to your poor doggie!

I have been using this Sentry Fiproguard Plus for Dogs 4-22 pound on my small under 10 pound dogs for the past year or so.(Ever since Advantix changed their formula and caused my dog problems).This Fiproguard squeeze on is easy to use - simply open the tube and part the dogs fur between the shoulder blades and apply.It had not caused a bad reaction in any of my dogs including my newest puppy that turned 5 months yesterday.They have been flea free and I like that this formula takes care of flea eggs as well as adults.It also takes care of ticks and chewing lice (although luckily I have only seen a handful of ticks in this area).I would definitely recommend this formula to anyone looking for decent flea protection for their dogs as it is effective and seems to be less harshthan the other more expensive brands.Note: This box and previous ones have come without a listed expiration date however I was able to call the phone number for the manufacturerand give them the lot number (Printed on the box) to get the expiration date.Since the dogs get one of these each month if you have just one dog you will want to make sure it is good for at least 6 months after you get it.

The package was damaged. One of the flea and tick ampoule leaked all of it's contents out and the others look questionable. I really don't know if it's safe to use on my dog .

you can't beat the price and not to mention, I've tried everything on the market including frontline for my 45lb dog and nothing worked as good as this. I haven't found fleas or ticks and it seems to keep away the Mosquitos and such that hang out on the beach. And I take my dog almost everyday and they seem to Kim this topics the least!**** remember that not one flea and tick med out there repels. What they do is kill the insect ONCE IT BITES ONLY! And some prevent larvae from hatching. It can take DAYS before a flea bites and in that time they can lay tons of eggs. If u have an infestation u needs to bomb your house and not with the stuff from a local drugstore such as Raid. Go to a hardware store or online and ask for professional strength bombs. You and all your pets have to leave the house but it's well worth it. In this time I suggest you get a flea dip at a greener to utilize time of having to be out for a few hours. If you don't bomb when your pet is infested, the fleas will come back bc they live in your house On the floor, carpet, pet beds, clothes- any kind of surface!!
