Perfect

This is a really great journal. It is the first spiral journal that I have ever bought. The front cover is really beautiful and the perfect inspiration to read right before journaling. The lines are very light on the pages (you can see in the photo) but I feel this is perfect because they are visible enough to write in straight lines but light enough to not be distracting while doodling. This is a high quality journal for the price. I would definitely recommend it as well as purchase it again.

My husband has been using these journals for years and just reordered more. The journals have a sturdy cover, pages turn easily, and there's a page marker so it's quick to find your place.

Beautiful, well made journal. There are many types of journals to choose from. For me it has to be sturdy and functional. Since I tend to buy and start journals, only to soon lose motivation I don't like to spend a ton of money on them. Also I'm always hoping this will be The One that helps me stay on track. So far so good. I like the portable size and the sturdy cover. The spiral binding makes it easy to write in. Plus who doesn't love an uplifting and motivating quote? It's helped to stay closed by an attached elastic band. The pages are lined on one side and blank on the other. The top right side of each page has three small dots which some other reviewers have commented on. They can be used, or not as you see fit. The pages are unnumbered so you could put the number there. In no way to they detract from the journal.

This is a very nice and functional journal. I like the spiral binding so that it can be opened completely and flipped to work on one page at a time. It also provides a place to put my pen. The pages are high quality and I like the off white color and the faint lines with just the right spacing. The cover is nice and thick, making for easy writing. All in all this is a really great journal. This may sound silly and trivial BUT I find the black cover depressing. Part of the reason for my journaling is to try and lift my spirits. Despite the wonderful quote on the cover "In the midst of our lives, we must find the magic that makes our souls soar" I find that it's blackness inhibits my soaring. Peter Pauper has so many journals with beautiful uplifting covers. When I finish this journal I will be switching to one of these.

This review is for the SOAR Journal Soar Journal (Notebook, Diary) (Guided Journals Series) . I took a good long look at all the journals available for sale on Amazon and I picked out FOUR Peter Pauper journals. This one is spiral bound, and the front and back covers are made of a very strong cardboard that does not easily bend. It's sturdy and well-made (no wimpy wire here!), and the paper is lined. The lines are not very dark, just enough to give you a guide. The paper also has 3 half-dots that are printed to the edge of the paper, near the top of the paper on the right side. Not sure why these are here, but it's something to mention. The front cover gilding is also embossed, which of course will help the gold stay where it is through repeated handling. The back cover has a strip of elastic to help hold the book closed or mark a page. About the only thing I might have liked is for this little journal to be not a journal but a "blank book" or sketch pad - and have unlined paper, perhaps a watercolor paper or drawing paper, in white. It's a great journal as it is, though, and I am very happy with my purchase. Peter Pauper journals ROCK! :)

Bought this as a dream book to practice active dreaming in lucid dreams. Trick is trying to recall the dream to write it down. Great quality pages and cover for the price.

PROS + beautiful design + convenient size notebook + spiral binding makes writing more comfortable imo + spiral also allows you to keep a pen with it + evenly sized line breaks for writing (not too far apart) + paper is a good thickness and the ink from the other side of the page isn’t too dark + high quality materials + elastic closure + aesthetic! CONS - I’m not sure that there are any 😜

Magnifique journal de qualité, couverture en cuir qui sent bon, gravure dorée pleine de charme et ficelle elastique pour le fermer. Pages lignées discretement, et taille très correct ! Je le pensais cher mais au vu de la qualité il ne l'est pas !

A beautiful journal, beautiful words etched in gold on the cover, quality pages, ink doesn't transfer through to other page. The cover is extremely sturdy, although some people may find the wire-spine is slightly big. I love it, quality.

I ordered the journal initially because of the wording on the front cover. I am pleased to say that not only is the cover beautiful, the journal is sturdy and great value.
