They last about 6 or 7 hours. I use them in candle holder type deals and I run them for a few hours a night for effect. They work well. Flame is not as big as a regular tea light candle, but big enough. They use these in restaurants for effect on the table in a lamp holder, etc. It is a toss up to use one of these vs a 6 hour tealight. But, they are more transparent than having a large aluminum cup that can block some of the light as the candle burns down. Overall, I like them and use them intermittently as I also use candles.

I should have bought the larger ones. This are small and burn for about 5 to 6 hours.

I bought these for power outage emergency.

I must have mis-measured the base in my lanterns since Three of these fit in the ring which normall fits a medium sized candle. Overall it worked out since now my lamps were three (dim) candle power instead of one (bright) one. Placing lanterns in my driveway with three of these each added to the ambience of the holiday party. Next year I may upgrade to larger refillable units. Nice not to have to scrape out wax buildup.

These have worked great for us. We have one of those spinning Christmas nativity sets that spins as the heat rises from the tea lights. The tea light candles can get messy, especially with kids who love hot wax hanging around. Plus, tea lights don't last very long. These were the only ones I could find that were the same diameter as the tea light so they fit into the spot for the tea lights. They are a really clean alternative, and I would say we got a solid 6-8 hours off our first lighting. There was no leaking in the package as some other reviewers had mentioned.

They seem to burn as described, however as another buyer noted they are not odour free. I’m using them in my great room but in a smaller area the smell might be unpleasant. I wouldn’t use them in place of candles in a dining situation.
