When plugged in, it is a touch noisy. But when using battery power it is very silent, lightweight and easy to move around. It's also priced fairly aggressively

I'll give this 4 stars for the value. $400 for this much light output is incredible. This light is probably comparable to a Joker 400 HMI. Color cast is just a tad green. I typically throw 1/8 minus green on it. No biggie. The fans on the power supply are a little loud- similar to an older HMI ballast. Will definitely pick up on your mics if you've got it 6-8 ft away in an interview situation. Ideally, you'd want to run it off to another room but you can't due to the short cord and I haven't been able to find an extension cable. I usually throw it in the soft case it came with while rolling camera and have done that for 45 min long interviews and it works fine even though it'll get pretty hot in there (fingers crossed I'm not damaging it!). I also bought the Aputure fresnel lens and it fits- a snug fit and you kind of need to force it but it fits and will stay on (I've been finding that these Bowens mounts are not all made the same). Also, this light has the same funky controller box and power supply situation as the Aputure 300d mark I. Lots of stuff hanging from your stand and lots of cables. Klunky design.

Hi, I only used this light a handful of times before one of the DMX cables broke. I have not been able to locate a replacement, and have been stumped about who to contact. Other than that, I was happy with my light and was interested in purchasing more / accessories IF I can get the cable [email protected]

For the price, its range and build quality I would easily suggest this light. Looking to pick up a few more...

I purchased this light for use as a videographer; and it didn't disappoint.This by far is the best light that I ever purchased. It's super bright and dims while keeping the color balanced. The controls are very easy to use and the connections are simple. It was super easy for me to figure out how to set it up and was using it within minutes.The Lux level is really bright, I can shoot almost any scene with the light being so bright.It comes in a really nice padded bag that is very sturdy and has separate compartments for each piece. The light itself is very nice; super bright and dims very nicely with a very quiet running fan. The controller is nicely crafted and feels solid. It has a dial which allows me to quickly adjust the brightness. It also has a remote, which makes shooting even easier.I definitely got my money’s worth with this light!
