Worked perfectly for our situation
This product was purchased for interior spot work. We had dismantled some built-in wooden furniture and removed it from 20 year old drywall. Parts of the drywall paper got peeled away, and once that happens, there's no turning back. New, fresh pain will want to seep behind it and bubble or leave ugly edges. Though we only had several linear feet of damage, it very much needed to be "sealed" off, so that the drywall could be repaired (smoothing, feathering compound for a new paint job) correctly and without scarring. We applied it indoors, and we did vent the room; it had some slight odor, but nothing horrible -- neither of us got a headache, which is something that usually happens when we have to use oil-based solvents, paints, or compounds. Win-win! It didn't leave any sort of obvious and stand-apart finish to the area we used it on, so once the drywall repairs were completed both over the top of this Zinsser product and the original drywall, you couldn't even tell the difference! No bubbling, no edges, no nothing. In fact, the two walls affected now look like they were ALWAYS like they are now. Without something special of this type of primer, we'd have had to come up with a messier, more difficult solution to the problem. Very pleased!

Odorless and dries fast
I had to paint the concrete closet in my basement bedroom after carpet was removed due to some moldy areas. A week ago, I painted the floor with a paint designated to be used on concrete, but the fumes were bad, and paint took a long time to dry. This week I used the Rust-Oleum Zinsser 3954 Odorless Oil-Base Stain Blocker Primer and there was no odor, and it dried to the touch within 8 hours. I am letting it dry longer before walking in the closet because now I need to paint the walls with a mold preventing paint.

Not that odorless
I used this item on an older bed frame I had and it went on pretty easy and covered a large area very well. It is a high quality primer which I only needed to spray twice on the wooden frame. It is a very good spray, but it is not odorless.

Worked great!
I recently renovated a room in my house that hasn’t been touched in 30 years. I pulled out a drop ceiling and found the there were old water stains on the ceiling. I tried covering it with traditional primers to no avail. After purchasing this product, I covered those spots in no time. I’d highly recommend this to cover water stains.

Mostly odorless oil based paint. Problem mixing
I bought two quart cans of Rust-Oleum 3954 Zinsser Odorless Primer and Stain Blocker. Both cans I bought had separated into oil on top and a thick mass the consistency of Skippy's peanut butter on the bottom. The warnings say to turn off electric motors - electric drills with paint stirrers - so I used a paint stir stick. This was a big mistake as I took at least ten minutes of mixing - and sloshing out the paint - before I *thought* I was ready to paint. In reality it seemed much thicker on the bottom and thinner on top. The results from the first half the can resulted in a rather thin looking coat and the last half an overly thick coat of primer. The next can, in an area which would be safe if the paint ignited, I used an Alway Tools 1 gallon helix paint mixer in a cordless drill. This seemed to work much better. However when I *thought* I was done, I discovered that the thick sediment had thickly coated the vanes on the mixer. I then spent time scraping the sludge off the paint mixer and mixing for another five minutes before I was satisfied. The primer drys to the touch fast. There is little odor initially which dissipates rapidly. This characteristic is why I bought this paint, so I am quite satisfied with the results. It seems to adhere well to the OSB I painted (water-based paints can cause cheap Home Depot OSB to delaminate, so I wanted a oil-based with low odor) Presumably, all this seller's paint isn't so badly separated. Might be best to take it to a friendly hardware store to be mixed in their shaker.

Better than I imagined !!!
I've used other "stain cover" paints in the past but never one as good as this product! I had terrible orange/brown stains from a leaky skylight and it's a textured ceiling, but this stuff covered it completely in only one coat! I had to dab it on with a brush to get it into all the nooks and crannies of the textured ceiling but the paint is thick enough that with a bit of caution it hardly dripped at all as I was doing so. It dried to a nice flat white that matched the color well enough as to not need any over coat. My only "caution" is to be sure to keep it well stirred while using :-))

This is not odorless by any means
This product claims it’s odorless that’s 100% not true it still has a very strong chemical smell and caused an asthma attack for my wife less than 5 minutes after trying this product with windows opened, it’s very misleading marketing , the product smells the same as if you used any other form of spray paint , so if your asthmatic DO NOT BUY!!! They only received 1 start because it won’t allow me to put 0!
