Butter curls puts the FUN in function
The media could not be loaded. This stainless steel 3in1 butter knife is fun as well as functional. It has the serrated edge to slice, the butter “scoop” on the end which creates a “butter noodle”, and the multi-hole side which creates the butter curls. The trick for easy butter curls is to lay the knife at a slight angle, almost flush to the stick of butter before applying pressure. Whether it is still cold from the fridge or has been sitting on the counter, you’ll have beautiful curls. Adjust the amount of pressure accordingly. The only down side I found was when using it to spread the butter on my bread, it would want to go back through all those holes… maybe with practice you could manipulate around them. I still enjoy all those curls!

Perfect butter spreaders
Finally, a butter knife that will work on cold, hard sticks from the fridge. These are so easy to use to skim off a perfect curl of butter or margarine--to I can butter bread without tearing it.

Pretty great, but not perfect
Great price for three of these, though they weren't uniformly cut. The varying cuts in no way impacts their usability, but if you were looking for three identical pieces, I could see how you'd be disappointed. They work great for my small family of butter spreading barbarians, though, so that's all I wanted!

My fault
Well the knife is sturdy. I thought i would like the style and concept of butter spreader. Used it and just didn't work as i thought it would. Not the sellers fault. Holes are clumsy for spreading butter and other food items. And messing up a whole block of butter because you want to do different does not work for the rest of the household. Kinda like corn on the cob directly to the top of the stick. Who wants to use after that. You buy, you live, you learn.

I like to butter my Toast, English Muffins, etc.
This is not a regular knife like you find with your assortment of flat ware. The back edge creates ribbons of butter, margarine, etc. which spread and melt more effectively on your toast, pancakes, muffins, English muffins, etc. The front edge serves the same purpose as a regular knife from you flat ware. I am glad I purchased!

Very nice
Does what it says. I hate hard butter. Kept one gave away 2.

Best Butter Spreader Ever!
These spread your butter better than anything else I've ever used to spread butter. They far exceed using just your finger, or the back of a spoon. And there are THREE in the box, so you can spread A LOT of butter at the same time. They work well with one in each hand and the third clenched in your teeth. You can make toast for an entire regiment in mere minutes this way.

Maybe I'm not using it correctly
Maybe I'm not using it correctly but it's not working at all. The holes are not curling the butter; they just get clogged and end up scraping it like a normal butter knife. I doesn't do anything like the picture shows.
