Bought a few of these to use while kayaking and ice fishing. I watched my buddy drop his new phone and it slid across the ice and into the hole. Since then my phone is always in this case. Accidents happen and this is cheap insurance to ensure my phone would float and stay dry. You can easily use the screen functions while in the case

This is an amazing product. I used it in the Negro River while swimming with pink river dolphins in the Amazon. Look at the photo I took! There are dozens more of the same quality. Order the orange one. My friend's blue one did not come with the extra little pouch inside the big one...blue did not have it! So another layer of protection was missing. Can't speak to other colors.I left mine in Brazil with my friend who visits her son in the Amazon regularly and owns a beach house. This pouch is perfect for her lifestyle!Make sure to follow the directions carefully. Remove your cell phone from case. Insert into the inner pouch upside down. Begin at the closed end with the pouch on a hard, flat surface. Squeeze all the air out by pressing firmly and working your way to the open end without allowing any air to seep back in. Once you are satisfied that your phone in airtight, close the seal at the top and roll down the velcro. Wait 5 minutes to make sure the wrinkles in the orange flotation device STAY WRINKLED. Then you know that it is sealed. I tested when I got it by allowing it to float in the sink. PERFECT!I am ordering a second one to replace the one I left behind. Cannot recommend highly enough!

It has a foam piece inside (I didn't notice that in the description) that makes it float & helps test the seal for each use. I like that it will float for sure, in the event that it comes off of me (wipeouts happen, people!). ...And the bright yellow will make it (& me) more visible. Mine passed the seal test & works great (read the card inside, it details how to check the pouch).

After having terrible experiences with the press-to-seal type of "water-proof" (if you can really call them that) pouches, I will never get one that doesn't have a rolltop folding top like this. Why, you ask? With those press type seals, if you even get a single fleck of sand in them, they will leak, and there's no secondary seal. I lost numerous videos of swimming with sea turtles while on vacation in Hawaii due to this very issue, and I have no doubt in my mind that if I'd had this bag back then, I'd still have those videos. That's because with these roll-top closures, there's multiple seals, and with each fold, less and less water can get through, so even a couple specks of sand won't cause failure (you should still absolutely keep it as clean as possible though).Roll-top seals are so much more reliable, and while I wish this had one more fold's worth of material, I've never had issues with it leaking, and I can use the touchscreen as well as you're going to get with any other similar pouch out there. If you have issues with your fingerprint not working, it's likely you're not pressing the air out enough or have a case that is too bulky to work with it.Also, as for cases, this totally fits a Motorola G7 with Spigen case and a LG G7 ThinQ with a Otterbox Symmetry case, so anything around the size of those will fit just fine, though it floats and seals better without one. I was worried about keeping the case on for protection, but after handling this waterproof pouch in person, it's certainly padded and beefy enough to protect the phone from mild drops.

Bright this to carry a phone and hotel room key for playing in the ocean during a beach vacation. We didn’t really swim, just splashed in waist/chest height waves. This was super easy to use and kept everything totally dry. The touchscreen barely worked, but that wasn’t an issue for my purposes. The electronic key worked through it. It does float, which I think is a must. At one point ducking under a wave it came off from around my neck without me noticing and was floating nearby, so I do wish there was a way to tighten the lanyard but that won’t stop me from using it going forward

When taking pictures with my iPhone 13 inside the pouch, I could can hear the "click" that the photo was taken but it is difficult to see whether or not the image was acceptable. To insure I had acceptable photos, I removed the phone from the pouch on the deck at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. My fault but when I tried to reinsert the phone in the case, it slipped out of my hands (the pouch is 100% waterproof but difficult to open/close) and fell into the water. After a few minutes, I was able to successfully retrieve the phone. The best news is no photos were lost and the iPhone was not damaged. My reason for not giving a five star rating is the inability see clearly through the plastic and determine whether or not the pictures were acceptable.

My initial thought when I saw the pouch was that it was bigger than I thought it would be but, it functions as it should. I was also concerned if I would be able to use the phone in the pouch and I had no trouble using it unless I left too much air in the pouch when I closed it up.I have an iphone 13 and the fit was fairly snug it takes a little bit of effort to get the phone out of the pouch it just doesn't fall out if you turn it upside down and try to shake it out, you have to physically pull it out with your fingers.Inside the pouch there is a miniature lifejacket shaped cushion that gives the pouch it's buoyancy if dropped in the water. The top folds over 3 times and ziplocks shut to keep the water out. The case itself feels of heavy duty material and should hold up to use.
