MegaBRITE Self-powered AM/FM radio & super bright LED flashlight by DuraPRO

I'm glad I tested ours before putting it in our bug-out kit! The ONLY thing that works is the light, and that only works while you're cranking it, and only after a solid minute of cranking. The radio and siren don't work at all! There's a notice on the unit saying it's a good idea to crank it every three months, but it doesn't tell you that if you don't it won't work at all!! I hate to throw things away but there's no point in giving it to charity so in the trash it goes! Check the reviews for the similar - maybe newer? model - same problems with it.

Love the idea of it. However, after 5 minutes of vigorous cranking, I turned the light on. It lasted 10 seconds. Forget about trying the radio or siren.
