Sunlight is intense up here in the great Northwoods just south of the Canadian border. After a lifetime of outside with very little sun protection, I decided to use my head instead of baking said structure.Simple to use, just stretch band around crown of hat and adjust where you want the veil to be.First real test was a two hour chore of splitting kindling (always thinking of winter up here). With back to the sun, reflective nature of the material kept the back of my head cool and protected from the sun. Just going off for walks, the neck drape fulfills the same function, plus serves as a deterrent for deer flies.So far, so good. My only question is the longevity of the band that secures the neck drape to the front crown of the hat.

I am a farmer, and wear a broad brimmed hat with a 3 inch brim. Unfortunately, I have developed a skin condition on the back and sides of my neck due to too much sun exposure over the years.When I saw this product on Amazon, I was excited to try it out with hopes it would provide shade and cooling and not lay right on my skin.When it arrived, I discovered the rubber headband was several inches too short, and would not fit around my hat. I called Customer service and had a live person answer the phone immediately! After listening to my situation he offered to send me several longer headbands. They arrived a few days later and are just what I need to put this to use every day in the summertime.

I’ve been looking for something like this, and chose this because I figured if the band ever broke I could easily use a shoe lace or another way to tie it, should that be an issue. I chose the color “cream”, which was supposed to have a variety of colors, unfortunately I received one that is almost ALL blue, with the tiniest bit of color in only a small area. So was very disappointed that I ended up with an almost colorless drape. If I wanted blue, I would have ordered blue.Aside from that, this material is top notch, the best. The band system is great, I wish it had different band colors. I intended to use it over my bike helmet, but there’s simply no way it will fit over a “Thousand” helmet. That is only a minor issue, as it is perfect under the helmet. How ever being under the helmet, causes the helmet straps to pull it close to my body, and tight, making it hot. No air flow. Despite this, I still LOVE this material. Design. Everything about this is perfect. However, I think I received a kids version. I am only 4’ 11”, and it is far too short, it will not cover the gap on my neck at the top of the neck opening of my T shirt, leaving a slit to get sun burned. So disappointed to find the perfect drape for riding only to have it be for a little kid. I have dumped the net upside down looking for this brand in a longer version. I even thought of buying two, and possibly having someone custom sew the extra length on. It’s just way too short after the helmet straps pull in in tight, where your neck bends in back causes it to pull even shorter. It’s not long enough to drape down, or hang freely. Five more inches would be absolutely perfect.Despite these issues, this thing is really nice material, superb construction, awesome design with exchangeable bands. Wow! I say Wow, because I have tried numerous other neck covers, and none worked. This really is nice, it would be perfect for a kid. My head is 20 inches in diameter, and the shorter band is absolutely perfect. PLEASE, please! Make a real adult version, and I will be back for another.

I was really excited to get this product. As a redhead who has a higher skin cancer risk, I was looking for a way to protect my neck besides sunscreen (which my ponytail rubs off too easily.) This seemed perfect! And honestly, it would be if the fabric was about an inch longer or the band was a bit longer. It's well made and I love the colors. It seems like it would hold up well too. Just a bummer about the length so I'm not sure how much use it will get.UPDATE - I contacted the company and they were kind enough to send me a replacement that is a bit longer. So much better! Hopefully they start making them all this length. I will definitely buy another one if they do...especially if they come in fun colors and patterns. This longer shade should help me a lot this summer!

My husband bought this to protect his neck from being sunburned. He's in the sun all day as a swimming pool & spa technician. It has a clear rubber "band" that is put over your baseball cap and the material is like a thin tent-like material and drapes down the back. The length is acceptable, going down past his tee-shirt, and it comes over the ears. That being said, I'm concerned the rubber band will roll up and off the cap and be more of a nuisance. If I had known he was going to buy it I would've suggested just putting a bandana under his hat. But he's already not a "hat guy", so the bandana may have been too hot.It will do it's job, blocking the sun.

I work in San Antonio Texas I’m a roofer so I decided to buy this product. It works good but the bad thing is it’s too short about 2 inches too short I’m always having to be , leaned over while on top of that roofs to nail down the shingles so I am wearing a bandanna around my neck and his covers the rest but it does feel cooler than my bandanna

If you want to protect the back of your neck on a sunny day this is just the job. You can wear any cap, keeping the 'neck mask' in your pocket until it's needed. I've docked one star because it did once fall off! I use it when running. One day, on a long run, my cap must have got so sweaty that the little plastic 'hatband' slipped and it fell off my head. Fortunately I felt something so stopped to look around and found it a few yards behind me.

子供が学校にキャップをかぶっていくようになり、首の日焼けが気になり、キャップに付けようかと思い購入しましたが、引っ掛けゴムの幅が調整できない。なぜ調整しようかというと‥首が焼けなければいいなという感覚だったのですが、目の横まで覆いがきてしまい、視界が遮られ、危なくて子供にはもちろん装着出来ないですし、これは大人も危なくないですか⁇と感じました。もしゴムが調整ができたとしても、おそらく帽子に引っ掛けることは不可能になると思われるので、布面積の調整をメーカーにはお願いしたいです。それか、子供用に改善をお願いします。

I bought this for my partner, who clearly has some ginger genes and gets burned just looking out the window at sunshine. He reported he wouldn't really wear it to go jogging (which was what I'd bought it for) but he wears it all day while he's working outside or gardening, and likes it.You won't look cool wearing it, but you will be nicely protected which is the most important thing...skin cancer won't remember you looking cool when it comes calling in 20 years.
