NaturVet Senior Wellness Aches & Discomfort for Dogs Plus Glucosamine- 60ct

I have an 8 year old mix who had been hit by a truck a few years ago. Due to the accident, she now has bad arthritis in her hip. The vet had prescribed expensive “pain meds” that seemed to only take the edge off a little bit. She wouldn’t put weight on her back leg, and would only get out of bed to go potty, eat, and or drink. I found these and started giving them to her. Within 2 days I noticed a major difference. She will now join in and play with the other dogs, puts full weight on all legs, runs, and seems overall pain free. She is not a fan of the taste however, and these are larger vitamins. It’s hard to find something to hide them in due to the size. However, I can put 1 in her mouth at a time, tilt her head back, and she will start to chew and swallow them. I then follow it up with treats to get rid of the bad taste. She is 75 lbs., and I give her 2 a day. Finding these has saved me so much money, and honestly helped her get back to her old self. Have no experienced any side effects and she’s been on them for approximately 3 months now.

I changed my normal aches and pains brand for my senior dog, Molly to this brand because they weren’t available any longer on Amazon’s subscription plan. Molly seems to like these. These are much larger and I was worried she wouldn’t like them but I broke them into four pieces and put them with her food and she ate them with no problem. I don’t know if they relieve pain but as long as Molly likes them, I’ll give them to her.

This is the second time I have ordered this product. My initial purchase was based off all the reviews. I have a 17 year old, 25 lb mixed breed dog. He has lost his hearing and is half blind. His joints, as you can imagine, are very stiff and he hurts almost all the time. He is slow to get up, slow to lay down and slow walking around. Every once in a while I see this happy pup in him and he might trot around the back yard a bit. With this supplement - I see more of that happy, trotting dog. He's old - there are no miracles that will happen but with this I definitely see a difference in his demeanor. A little less stiff, a little more alert and a lot happier. Now I will say I am highly annoyed that this company cannot seem to make up their mind at which price they want to sell this product. And if that keeps happening I will take my business elsewhere. First time I ordered 09/14/2015 Product was $8.91. Then I went to reorder in December and they put the product as part of the add on item for $7 and change (if I remember correctly). Go to check recently and they are back with regular prime at $10.58. So I immediately order. Come back today to check on orders and write reviews. And what do you know their price has changed again. $11.74. Sooo. Hmmmm......

She is 12 yrs old, for the past several years, she has pretty much just laid around. We know she suffers from arthritis , so I decided to try this, and we are both glad I did. Within the first week, we noticed she started getting up and wandering around more, by week 2 she was actually trying to play a little bit. It has now been 6 months, she can jump to put her paws on my knees!! She runs - yes runs - around the house now just like a pup. She still gets winded quickly, but wow what a difference. If you are on the fence, let me help you down - buy them. Give them a few weeks - I give 1 each night before bed - you will be glad you did.

Believe it or not, a product that does what it claimed! My elderly dog was having hip pain. Some days he couldn't get comfortable no matter what he tried. It was so hard to watch. Now as long as I give him two pills in his dinner, he has no pain. Honestly, the flavor doesn't get him excited, but it's easy enough to cut or crush and put it in food. Be sure to continue daily even once pain is gone or it will come back. I'm so happy to have found this. We tried morphine, but we felt it wasn't good for him. It was like he was gone. These pills don't change his he behaves. He's back to his old self again! I know the hips will eventually get too bad, but for now, I've bought years more with our buddy and that's good enough for me. Very reasonably priced as well.

My dog will not take the pill willingly, it is chewable and yes it does takes the pain away but every time I try to mix it with some other food he will not eat any of it because of the smell of the pill. It works as it suppose to but I just wish it was more appealing to them and not force them to take the pill everyday

My dog is a 13-year old pit bull/lab mix whose greatest joy has always been to walk and explore. However, I noticed his back legs were shaking on our walks a few years ago and our vet confirmed it was arthritis, so we started using glucosamine and chondroitin, turmeric, and other natural anti-inflammatories. But I have arthritis too, and I could see that while our all-natural mix of supplements was helping, he was still in pain on rainy or humid days, or after long walks, just like me. I added this product and it helps immensely with his pain and stiffness. While it only contains a quarter of his recommended amount of glucosamine, the white willow bark is the magic ingredient. These pills are easily crushed so I add one to his dinner every day; he gets a second one on or after days that he's been particularly active. This pill is an essential for us, and I highly recommend it for senior dogs with mobility issues.

This is actually a great product with an excellent blend of herbs but if you're pups is on any Rx's for pain or really anything, you want to check with your vet if it's OK to put them on asprin before giving it to them regularly. Willow bark is what asprin is derived from & many arthritis meds are in the same class so you could inadvertently make your pup sick. This is just my amateur advice from my personal study of Asian medicine & acupuncture & Native American herbalism but always remember just bc it's a supplement or herb doesn't mean it's always safe. If you don't have a holistic friendly med,contact a licensed herbalist or vet or animal healer locally if you are unsure. I'm using this on my pup that isn't on meds & it's working great. She's a nervous pup & it seems to helping in several ways. I'll have to see if this will be a good solution for her aches and pains long-term since she's middle aged, 4 but alright with bad hips.

Terrific product for dogs with joint issues!! I used this for my 2 older dogs (ages 18 and 16) and they perked right up with their mobility. I recommend to all my friends with aging dogs!! In fact, this review is from an order I placed for my neighbor's dogs and they are doing better now too!!!

I received with most of the tablets r broken and 1/4 of it was broken into powder! Terrible.

These have helped my 7yr old dog with a sore leg. very good product.

Been feeding to our 10 year old Lab for 3 years. Really helps with her aches and pain as she ages. We believe the ingredients really help her.
