Turn a mandolin into an electric instrument
This is a great product. Using double sided tap, I attached rare earth magnets to the underside and then placed the other inside my mandolin. It hold securely but can be slid around to find your sweet spot. If you have a mandolin and need to connect it to an input...this is it.

Great, affordable acoustic pick-up, even works on a sitar!!
So, a little background as to why I bought this: I have a professional/high-end sitar that usings a plixio (sic?) type pick-up, that's very small and paper-thin, and has to be placed right under the sympathetic strings. Its what other sitarists use for performances, and has a very wide and rich range, but...it's not very loud, and in the rock bands I play in, it's actually not very well suited at all. In fact, I had to buy a Fishman acoustic preamp to pump up the sound just to get it audible enough into a guitar amp. And then it becomes a battle trying to get the sound guy to turn up the sound without getting massive feedback. And, the sitar pickup is hella-expensive, $160 + shipping!Regardless, I have a 2nd sitar that isn't mic'd at all, so I began a search for a pickup that was more affordable for that. It's not a performance-grade sitar, but it's still a great instrument and easy to play...and if the main sitar breaks a string or something, I needed a backup. So I put this transducer on the sitar, positioned right next to the main bridge and strings. And lo and behold, it works great!! The sound is a bit bassier, but that's more a reflection of the sitar being that way, and less twangy. But using this in combination with that Fishman acoustic preamp, I get a much louder, fatter sound now. I could possibly not even use the Fishman, but I like having the variability (and not having a DI going thru the guitar amp, which is more for me to hear how I sound.So...if it works well on a friggin' sitar, I think it'll work on just about any acoustic instrument!!Only catch is: the adhesive is VERY strong. I know if I tried to remove it now, it would probably pull up some of the finish on this 25+ year old sitar...the finish on sitars can be brittle. So once you put this puppy in place, be prepared to NEVER remove it. But the nice thing is, if you want to perform strictly acoustic with no mic, you can easily unplug the cord from the transducer...it's still be visible, but at least you won't have a cord hanging in your way.All in all, this is a GREAT buy! I plan on buying another one for the pro-model sitar, because for the shows I perform in, I need volume in my sound more than breadth/width.

The adhesive Issue
I like everything about. Good sound, especially with steel string guitars. Some customers have been complaining about how strong the adhesive is. I didn't have a problem with this. To take of the Luvay transducer of your guitar : Grip the transducer ,twist the transducer and remove. DO NOT Pull off in a vertical direction, it's harder this way and may damage your instrument.
