Poor quality for the money.

Works just OK. Fan has 4 different speeds but the light control shows up and down but all it does is turn off and on

This remote works great! Used as a replacement for the "wireless wall remote" which works very poorly. Of note This did not come with a wall switch plate to mount it to the wall. previous questions note that it may have came with something to mount it optionally. Is there a way to get this or purchase this separately?

Just received this Casablanca universal remote today (w/out blue control module box). Ordered this remote from Amazon yesterday morning. Replaced old ceiling fan (previous home owner install) with the Perseus model in about two or so hours last night. I wondered if this remote would pair with the blue control module included with the Perseus and, it does. Paired the remote in less than two minutes. All functions work correctly including the dimming feature even though the wall switch connected to the fan box is not a dimmer switch (normal flip switch). The dimmer feature on the fan worked via this remote as soon as I paired it. I did not have to follow the procedure outlined below in the instructions. If your remote does not automatically control dimmer feature, instructions state to follow the below procedure to correct issue. Awesome remote at a $20 discount on Amazon than from Casablanca.***TO ENABLE DIMMER FEATURE*** PRESS AND HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON THEN PRESS THE DOWN ARROW ON THE REMOTE TWO TIMES***

I read all the reviews about this remote; one said you cannot have more than one remote at a time paired to the fan and another said the dimmer function will not work. Well, I just unboxed my remote 10 minutes ago, followed the instructions, and not only does the dimmer function work, but both this and the wall remote that came with the fan function perfectly.The dimmer function on the wall remote did not work at first when new. I called Casablanca and was told to kill circuit breaker power to the fan, switch it back on, and within 3 minutes press and hold the On/Off button and then press the "UP" arrow twice. That procedure fixed the dimmer issue. The Casablanca tech rep on the phone said you may have to do this up to 5 times before it will take affect.

I have the fan installed in the master bedroom and I use it close enough so it works most of the time. Sometimes I need to press it several times to get it to work.The batteries last about a year with frequent use (every day we turn on the lights on the fan at least).But it does not work well unless you are close to the fan. If you are planning to wall mount it on the other end of the room, be prepared for disappointment.But other then the weak signal, it has never failed and I did not have to pair it ever.

This remote is extremely difficult to pair especially if you have more than one of the Casablanca Fans.Reaching out to Customer Service is extremely difficult and to make matters worse, they have a huge attitude over having to be on the phone with you to help. The woman I spoke to seemed irritated the entire time I was trying to get help with getting the remote paired properly.I asked her if there was any way to reset the remote to factory setting to be able to start over with the pairing and she was completely rude in answering any and all my questions.I follow the instructions even going as far as to disconnect the power from the ceiling to try and pair the remote and it continues to pair to two fans vs just the one I want it to pair to.I do not recommend this remote or Casablanca for that matter given their terrible customer service.

Easily paired to my existing fan following the instructions on how to pair it up. Works great.I DO NOT LIKE the extremely bright blue LED light. It is blindingly bright (zero exaggeration) in the middle of the night and totally unnecessary to be that bright. Terrible idea whoever added that feature.
