Great seat cushion!
I used to use this on my desk chair, but don't sit at my desk anymore, having moved to an apartment with a living room (my desk is in my bedroom), and gotten a new laptop computer (I have both a laptop and a desktop computer, and alternate upgrading them... my previous laptop was over 10 years old when I finally bought a new one), and now use it mostly on the floor, typically in front of my beanbag chair, which I use as a backrest. I find this very comfortable in both places, especially the floor, and it does seem to increase the amount of time I can sit still and concentrate on work/study. I have tried several seat cushion products, and this is definitely my favorite. I like the feel of it, and also that I can see what's inside, which helps with the temptation to cut/break it open to find out what's in it (I generally resist this, but it's always tempting when I have an opaque exterior). I did mess around with the inflation level a bit when I first got it, but I settled on something similar to how it arrived, and haven't touched the inflation level since; I've had it about 2.5 years, and it hasn't deflated noticeably in that time (and I typically notice even pretty minor changes). I tried it on the couch a few times, but it didn't add much, and was kind of annoying. I think it works best on harder surfaces. However, on the floor, or a harder chair (my desk chair is padded, and also has arm rests and all of that -- it's a grown-up desk chair, not a plastic classroom chair or anything like that, it's just the spinning, rolling, adjustable-height kind of chair, which is still far firmer than a typical couch), it's great. I also like fidgeting with it occasionally, but it's bigger than I'd like for that, and I have a smaller item (I think about the size of Abilitations' Bitty Bottoms line) from Fun and Function that has a similar feel (plus some adorable little plastic animals to look for) that I prefer for that purpose.I'm an average size adult woman on the autism spectrum. I also work with children of all ages (infants through late teens), both typically developing, and with a wide range of special needs. This cushion is an appropriate size for many adolescents and adults. As a very rough estimate, I would estimate that this would be a good fit for individuals weighing maybe 75-160 lbs (or possibly more if very tall, or less if very short), and not more than high-average weight for their height. I think that this cushion would also be appropriate for small children, but may be bigger than necessary, and if you're looking for something that a child will carry around (e.g. take from a desk or cubby to the designated floor space for 'circle time,' or routinely transport between home and school), or if cost is a concern, I would recommend looking at the Bitty Bottoms line for younger children. However, if portability is not needed, and the cost is not prohibitive, I would recommend at least considering this for smaller children, as well as for older children and adults. A child who is small to average size for their age most likely won't outgrow this disk (and even if they do, it will likely be many years later than it would be with a smaller disk) so it may well mean one less purchase for you and one less transition for your child in the future. For a larger person, I would recommend looking at the "Large CoreDisks" line from Abilitations, which add another 3 inches in diameter. The regular CoreDisks are 12" diameter, Bitty Bottoms are 8", and Large CoreDisks are 15". If you're not sure, just get out a ruler, find the appropriate number of inches, and see if you can find a line on your/their butt that's longer than that. If you do find one, go up a size. If you find one that's exactly that long, or even just a bit under that length, I'd still go up a size, unless you were measuring from under a clear chair the person was sitting on -- our butts spread out a bit when we sit, so you want the cushion to be a bit bigger than the butt it's purchased for. If you find one that's pretty close to but a bit shorter than the diameter of the disk (maybe 1-2" under), then you/they are on the border between sizes, and I'd recommend that you only buy the smaller size if you're prepared to return it if it's too small -- otherwise, go with the bigger one, and either live with the extra cost, or know that they will grow into it. Otherwise, if every way you measure, you can't find any line that's longer than the diameter of the disk, you/they will probably fit comfortably on that disk (unless you didn't measure well; I am not making any guarantees, and take no responsibility if this doesn't work... but if my assumptions about the basic geometric properties of butts are correct, and people measure the way I think they will, then math says this should work).

Great Seat!!!!
My 5 year is a wiggler and mover during circle time. He was missing out on a lot of stuff because of this. His teacher had a leftover disk from another student just like this but in yellow and it made so much difference. Not only did he sit better, but he was able to claim ownership over his seat. He brought it to circle time and knew that was his seat. With our transition to kindergarten, I did not know if his new school would have one so we ordered this one. He was so excited that he could see inside it and see all the colors. His teachers thought it was really cool too! I plan on ordering another one for meal time at home.

Amazing little device to keep little bottoms in their chairs when they are doing homework or eating a meal, plus super comfy and facilitates good posture! I kinda wish I had one for my own chair but the costly nature of this little gem makes you have to streamline your needs! But it is worth the cost if you need it

My daughter loves her disc and it is great for her sensory needs in the classrooms she especially loves the confetti! However, it seems to lose air each day and needs to be pumped up on a regular basis.

works just like the one we use at my daughter's therapy!
love this product! great right out of the package, though I would want more air if it were my seat. Flexible enough to move easily with little hands, heavy enough not to slip and slide on seat. Great for balancing or sitting.

The second one I received was perfect, except that it had mostly pink squellets in it and it is my son who will be using it. He wasn't to thrilled about all the pink, but he will still use it. The first one we received was as pictured. It really helps him hold still at school.
