This statue is just lovely, exactly what I wanted. When I was a growing up we had this almost identical statue in our living room. As I was terrified of tornadoes, whenever I'd hear of a tornado alert or warning, I could be found praying fervently that our house would not get hit. There must be something about a child's prayer, because our house was always safe in the toughest storms. As Mary now resides in my house, perhaps life will be a little less stormy in the home of this child of God.
