if you can, tilt your vehicle away from the leak, try to raise the leaking area above the gasoline levelthe less fuel in the tank the better, clean and sand the area to bare metal, do this to at least '1 inch' around the leak,use the yellow/orange mastic stick, rub it into the leaking crack, pinhole, etc.., to temporary stop the leaking, carefully clean around the leak to remove excess 'mastic stick' from surface around the leak, do not touch or clean the leak itselfquickly mix/knead the amount of quiksteel needed to cover the cleaned off area,keep one hand dry to put epoxy in place, wet the fingers of the other hand with water, so you apply pressure and smooth it out as needed, the water on you fingers will keep them from sticking and pulling the epoxy away from the metal tank surface, you have 3 to 5 minutes to get the epoxy in place , firmly applied, and smoothed outonce it feels warm you have one minute maybe less, it will then be unworkable and not sticky

This stuff worked great

Product did not work. Sanded the steel pipe to bare metal first and used alcohol wipe to clean and prep area. Area was dry and clean. Used product as specified by directions. Tiny pin hole leak. Reinforced with included fiberglass screen cut to size and added second layer. Allowed to dry for 48 hours and still leaked.Should request refund.

This really work while you are waiting to repair or replace the leaking fuel tank. The QuikSteel lasted me about three weeks or it could have lasted longer but my fuel tank came in so I replace the tank. This is a really good product for the quick fix if your tank is leaking and you can't stop the leak.

Did the job pretty well, doesn't go very far, but of good quality. Sets up quickly, and set up on my diesel fuel tank even though it was leaking at the time
