Easy Visual Scales

The best easiest scales book and the cheapest, not to forget, this guy's a piano teacher!
Some of the best books I've brought during my lifetime have been the cheaper books. This one qualifies, royally. l like this book much better than scales bootcamp and it's easier to learn, memorize and practice scales withoutsuffering from mental fatigue while practicing seemingly endless keystrokes . I actually learned how to play the piano at a professional level with this book and several other titles, freal! I just practiced and played each scale 3,000 to 6000 times, whew! Over a period of about 6-8 months things began to click mentally. Soon I was improvising through my notes and started to recognize where certain notes were located from their sound. I googled and read some people can learn their scales in about 1,000 passes. Anyone can learn and play piano and improvise at the piano like a professional. Pwactice, pwactice, pwactice (practice) daily. That's what my Welsh piano trainer and Coach would tell me years ago as a youth. This practice daily mantra has stuck in my brain since childhood and That's the way it works in real life. That's all I did! And you can easily do it also. Good luck! It can and will happen the same way for you as it happened for me if you just practice, practice, practice and at your convenience on your schedule and long or as short as you want to practice...😎

Great Scale Book
The Easy Visual Scales is one of the best Piano Scale books I have ever used. It contains two pages of great instruction on how to use the book. The scales are presented one scale per page, and shows the keyboard layout for right and left hand; the staff showing the key signature; fingering for two octaves for right and left hand; and a two-octave score for practice. You will not go wrong purchasing this book.

Great for beginners
The best book I could find for my students learning scales for the first time. The only thing I don’t like is that rather than showing the natural minor scales, all minor scales are shown as harmonic minor.

The content is great, but the paper/binding is meh
I really like how I can learn the fingerings for all the scales. But the quality of the paper and the binding doesn't really allow for it to lay flat. Please fix that!

A very helpful product for beginners
I purchased this book to get a clear understanding of how I should practice the various scaled of a keyboard. The book goes through a whole list of scales giving the exact fingers that should be used in practicing them. I think learning the scales with the help of this book will greatly strengthen a student's ability to go to next levels of music practice.I wish the same material is available in the form of Laminated Index Cards big enough so that they can be used for consultation while practicing.I hope the author expands the list of scales to include more of them.

Excellent Book For Teaching Scales
I have taught piano for 50 years. This is the best book I have seen for teaching scales. Each scale on each page is organized in three sections.1. Piano keys for right hand with finger number on each key Piano keys for left hand with finger number on each key.2. Right and left hand numbers together under letters going up and down scale, no notes.3. Scale notated on staff up and back down scale. There is also a key signature on top right of page that student can observe. My grandson learned the D flat major scale before he learned the G major scale. Not what I intended but it shows you how self explanatory it is.Wish I had this book in 1956! Lol

Not Natural Scales
I really like this book. It’s very easy to understand. I’m only up to D Minor but I noticed the scale is Harmonic not natural. There are three types of scales. I haven’t gotten further than D minor so far but I don’t think the other types of scales are listed.

Excellent teaching resource
Since I bought this book a couple of weeks ago, I've been using it more and more in my teaching. The visual guide is the best I've seen, with the 'continuity' finger in brackets - it's the first time I've been able to explain how the pattern repeats and students actually get it - thank you, Alasdair Macaskill. I'll be using this and recommending it to my students for many years to come.
