My pump was making a loud grinding type of noise. I assumed it had to do with the ball bearings. When I opened it up I found a bearing by the impeller. I ordered this pump and equipment for an easy swap out instead of ordering a pump and the individual parts (bearings, impeller, seal, etc...). It was very easy to take off old unit and swap out with the new one. It sounds great and runs like new. This saved a ton of money by not having to hire a pro to come out and fix. Basically unscrew 6 bolts and move the electrical, and your done.

Complete motor and impeller assembly. Easiest and most efficient way to replace a bad pump motor.

This is the third time I have purchased this unit from the same vendor as a supposedly “new” unit.The first one lasted 3 years. The second one lasted a year and the last one maybe 3 months?! I smell“Remanufactured” rather than new. I know Florida weather is harsh on pool pumps but this is totally ludicrous! And it’s internal motor bearings that are failing, not pump parts. Last time buying merchandise such as this on Amazon. Purchased one from my pool supplier yesterday. Gave it one star because there are no half stars!! I hate giving negative reviews but buyers beware.

Excellent replacement saving me time and money. Was able to swap out the entire unit in about 10 minutes. Pump is more efficient, and much quieter now.

I purchased this Hayward replacement power end to repair my Hayward EF1500 pump. I guess that the Hayward Energy Flo series is marketed exclusively through Leslie Pool Supply, so I was wortied that their might be subtle design differences that would not allow this Hayward Tristar series power end to be interchangable with my apllication.Turns out that the replacement oower end was a perfect match with the original unit, and was very easy to change out.I'm hoping that this unit will last longer than the 2 yrs-3 months that my original HaywRd power end lasted.Updated 6/4/22. Nope! The 2nd unit lasted just 2 years & 2 months before the motor gave up again. At least it’s easy to swap out.

Don't get me wrong the motor works great easy to install.What brothers me is the add is misleading showing the motor and filter housing but the filter housing is not part of the packages.I could have gotten a motor and pump $45.00 less but chose this do to the picture.
