Excellent Piece of Gear for the Money
From my research, the vast majority of these "all-in-one" radio/charger/flashlight emergency crank/solar/alkaline-option crank radios appear to have the same basic chinese made guts, but with different cases, buttons, and logos. Even USA branded emergency radios do not advertise "Made in USA", so one can reasonably presume that even they probably are using the same chinese-made guts (although, they may have prettier cases and name-brand LED lights).Once I figured that out, it was time to locate one that would function best in the situation I would most often use a "crank/solar" style item that can provide light: As a mobile reading lamp and as a basic night light to provide low level light for things like locating gear in the dark, starting fires in the dark, late night bathroom breaks, etc. You know, the kind of tasks that don't involve spotlighting deer at 200 yards. Like most buying this item, if I'm using this thing as my primary flashlight, then the quality of my crank emergency radio is probably the least of my worries. Most of the crank/solar/battery/charging/light/radio emergency devices I found either did not have a reading lamp, or had one, but it did not move at all. For anyone who has been stranded in the middle of nowhere in any situation, you'll quickly learn that the most used non-life-essential item will be a basic, soft, reading/area light. This product has the best reading lamp setup around: A simple panel with a soft light on it.Finally, ITS NOT DIGITAL! LCD/digital displays are your enemy in survival situations, trust me. They dim, they sometimes just quit displaying, if you lost your glasses, etc. Anyone who's anyone knows how infuriating digital displays can be when they get old or aren't working perfectly. Yes, most times nowadays digital displays work fine, but this isn't the type of item that you need to be "sexy"; you'll just want the darn thing to work. In a survival situation, you want simple, yet functional. This does the job.

Better than expected!!!
I bought this radio to add to my "hurricane" kit here in Texas and I must say that it's much better than I expected it to be.Build quality is decent but I was impressed with the built in chargeable battery (by micro usb or manual winding) and the sound quality/volume. No, it is not a boombox and will not bump like one, but the FM radio reception was clear, loud, and simply worked. It also has the option of taking AAA batteries as an alternative. The light is fairly bright and it's pretty easy to wind up. It's also fairly compact - see attached picture in my hand for an idea of it's size.

Good Emergency Radio/Flashlight
To begin I hardly ever write reviews. Why? Well honestly my time is worth money and most seller don't compensate their reviewers. However in this case, the people over at Leiyi offered a $20 Amazon gift card, for my honest review of the product and service. So here goes. Why did I by this? Well my wife and I had just seen Crawl the movie over the weekend and it seemed like a good idea. In the movie a hand crank flashlight/power bank was of grave importance. Also a weather radio was useful. So this item having all that and more seemed like a good buy?Shipping, was quick and on time. Satisfied by Amazon, I had no problems with this delivery. It came wrapped in bubble, in a box and was brand new upon arrival. It was partially charged and I immediately, checked out the TWO flashlights and radio. Everything worked well but with the size of the speaker, sound was a bit tinny. That is until I tried out the alarm, which I believe would have gotten anybody's attention near by. This thing will be a life saver, in an emergency. Btw I charged it fully in about 2 hours. It's about the size of two iPhones stacked atop one another and weighs about, the same. So while a bit heavy, not at all unmanageable. I think this would be perfect, for a Bug Out Bag.The only con I found was that in the instructions, they discouraging using the unit for continual charging of phones saying "This feature is intended to only charge USB devices for emergency use, not a normal power bank". I think that's reasonable.I don't know how long the standby time is on the battery but given that it came partially charged, it could be quite long? All in all, the quality is there and the price, is a good. I would recommend this to friends and family and think its a must have for anybody and everybody, concerned about disasters or survival. But It's a good radio for just everyday use. I may even, buy another?

Easy to Use
This Emergency Solar Hand Crank Radio is portable and very handy during power outages. The radio is clear and audible. The flashlight on this is bright and doesn't require a battery, simply wind it up. Also, you can charge your phone with the included portable usb cable. Definitely a great item to add to survival backpack, keep in car, and at home for emergencies.

Great emergency radio
Powered by external batteries or internal Li, this radio also is solar rechargeable and features not only an adjustable standing lamp but also a spotlight. The lights work great, as do the radio and charging features. I'd have given this 5 stars except for the hand crank - what a knuckle buster. I'm very petite (5'3", ring size is 4... I have comically small hands) and I CANNOT wind this thing more than 2-3 rotations without busting a knuckle on something. There's simply not a good way to hold onto the body of the unit while cranking that doesn't obstruct the crank path in some way. Solid device that's held a charge for over a month without top up. Clear NOAA signal and radio bands, LOUD emergency signal. Well worth the money!
