Lovely, versatile product
I bought this strictly for external use (medicinal purposes) but it is produced and labeled so that it can be prepared as a tea. The quality is outstanding. External use surpasses my expectations (which were high; I already know and respect this company). I've been happily placing 1/2 the recommended daily amount into a teaspoon infuser and steeping it in my morning coffee (with a few whole cloves). Delicious and good for you (strong herb; don't exceed recommended amounts or length of consumption!) And a little goes a very long way. Five stars only because more aren't available.

It didn't taste like much. I added cayenne pepper and cinnamon. But I most definitely feel like I had less sugar cravings and meat cravings decreased as well. Looks yucky and gooey once it gets wet but besides that it got the job done.

Contaminated with stone chips
I purchased the Starwest Botanicals organic black walnut hulls (tea) and found it was contaminated with tiny stones (up to 1/4 inch). I am guessing that a large rock went through the grinder with the black walnut hulls but there must be ZERO quality control at the company because I was easily able to find over 3 dozen stones chips in the bag.I also found what looks like a piece of black fiber, 1/2 inch wide.THIS PRODUCT IS NOT SAFE TO CONSUME. If there are visible stones in it then there is stone dust and stones that you probably can't easily see.
