Stonebrook Cottage (Carriage House Book 3)

I always find Carla Neggers books to be good reads including this one. The story line weaves in the characters from a previous book however you can still find it enjoyable if you haven't read the previous book or don't remember all of the details (like me). The lt governor friend character is a bit unbelievable that a woman that clueless could be a governor. She also does not get any awards for mother of the year. The other characters are much more engaging and the kids are great. I did enjoy the book and I am sure that there will be another continuing the story (which I will also buy).

Carla you have done it again, you have not let me and my fellow readers down yet. I would have loved to be in Kara's place with Sam Temple. Kara is one amazing woman protecting the children like she did and handle a Texas Ranger across states line to kick butt where she ended up at. There was a few late nights of reading where I fell asleep reading cause I didn't want to stop reading this book. I am on my way to reading another of CARLA's books "The Cottage." I can't wait I love her books, CARLA is in the top 10 authors I read most.

I love Carla Neggers novels. She has written so many and I am really enjoying getting through them.

Another great romantic suspense by Carla Neggers. I admit it, I'm addicted to her writing. Her smooth prose, charming settings and likable characters draw me deep into her story. Her plots are intriguing and compelling. This story involves murders, runaway children, two passionate romances and jealousy. What I find makes the mystery part particularly creepy is that everyone in the small town knows the murderer has to be a local. A great read.

I think Carla Neggers is a great writer of romantic mystery. I enjoyed the mystery and the romance. Two children (middle schoolage) were 2 of the main characters and made for a very interesting plot, I would recommend this book for anyone who likes a good mystery but not so scary that it makes your heart race. Enjoyable, relaxing and read it in not more than 2 days.

I started reading Carla Neggers with her Swift River Valley novels and loved them. This series is just so-so and this book. Well, I really hated that kids are telling adults what to do. What universe does Ms. Neggers live in that this is ok and really happens? I agree with another poster that the editing on this series was horrible.Will I continue to read her books - probably, but more selectively from now on.

Delightful easy read of Carla Neggers' four book, interconnected Carriage House Series.

Outstanding story. Kept me involved and looking towards each chapter. Even caused me to shed a tear or two. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

I usually like Carla Neggers books but this one I found was almost by the numbers regarding plot and language. Obviously I read her for relaxation and a romp but in comparison to The Waterfall or Kiss the Moon this one was just plain disappointing.

This was a very good book,Carla Neggers always does an excellent job !
