Incredibly delicious snacks!
This is the first book by Julie Morris that I've bought, so I wasn't sure what to expect -- but I've made four things already, and each of them has been incredibly delicious!I ordered this book because I have several bags of various superfoods in my pantry that I've bought either because a cooking class I've taken or a recipe I've previously made has called for a particular ingredient -- but then that ingredient just sits there since I have nothing else to use it for (I'm looking at you especially, lacuma powder!). This book has given me a reason to bust out those bags that have been hiding in my pantry for too long and to put them to good use.I also love the fact that this book focuses on snacks since, like the author, I'm a grazer, and love to snack on small nibbles throughout the day. Since all of the recipes are whole-foods and plant-based/vegan and use superfoods to pack in healthy nutrition, I know I'll be getting quality food with these treats.Every recipe in here looks amazing. When I first get a new cookbook, I like to savor it it by slowly reading through the recipes and marking the ones that I want to try first. After reading this one, I had to laugh because I had marked practically every page with a Post-It. The flavor combos range from traditional (things like Salted Almond Chocolate Bark and Secret Mint Chip Ice Cream) to more daring (like the Butterscotch-Hemp Crispy Rice Treats and Curried Coconut Kale Chips).Because most of the recipes in this book require simple ingredients (besides the superfoods, of course) that you probably already have on hand, it's easy to whip up things really easily. Right after this arrived on Saturday, for instance, I made a batch of goji berry-walnut hummus, and it was easily the best hummus recipe I've ever made. (See the pic.) Later that day, I also made some Kitchen Sink Superfood Energy Balls, which are perfect for taking with you when you're on the go. (I've attached a pic of them, too.)Overall, this is a wonderful book to add to your cookbook library if you're looking for healthy treats that will give you more energy and vitality!

Wonderful recipes
I’m amazed at Julie Morris’ creativity in designing these recipes. I have a health condition that I want to address via nutrition and these recipes are well suited for this. Is there anyone who doesn’t want healthy recipes that taste good? Cooking with superfoods can certainly achieve this and bring healthy cooking into a new realm, besides benefitting anyone with health concerns. I ordered her other superfood cookbooks as well.I am a foodie so I have to eat things I love no matter my restrictions.I have had some of the superfoods powders the author, Julie, suggests in my pantry but didn’t quite know what to do with them. Each month I’ll add a couple more suggested recipe items so I can continue trying new recipes. These could be a great way to eat instead of taking vitamins!Love the awesome photos which are a must in any cookbook!

Wonderful book..., but poor shipping :(
-Love this book for the photos & raw, granola-bar-like recipes-Poor shipping; shipped loosely in a bubble-envelope-Edge of the bottom binding was bashed-in-Book-jacket torn.My go-to Superfood recipes to keep on hand;-The "Goldenberry Macaroons"; Sour, yet Sweet, astringent, (I think it satisfies all the tastes!)...with a zing of heat!-"Mocha Energy Bites"; LOVE hazelnut-coffee-cocoa-nib combo!-Goji-dried-Cherry-cocoa-nib bars; keep these in my freezer for a homemade, raw, granola bar.Considered getting more of Julie Morris' books;-but not sure if i want another damaged book due to poor, shipping---Found the other reviews true about recipes requiring small amounts. Not an issue if you already use things Spirulina, Wild Maqui Powder, Camu Camu Powder, Lucuma Powder...or if you want to add them to your diet. I've come to love Maqui Powder because it takes her "Chocolate Whip Dip" to a new level of berry-chocolate-heaven or when i'm making "healthy" truffles--- Lucuma powder on the other hand... --Bought it since it's used frequently in the recipes, but haven't opened it yet because my faves don't call for them and i have no idea how else i can use it. Hope it doesn't go bad before i use it because I got a large bag of it!)

Wonderful ideas, but I thought the publisher slipped up in typesetting.
It's really a beautifully designed book, photos and all, REALLY well written, looks especially nice sitting on a coffee table. But I found it really difficult to read some of the text when I actually tried to USE the book. For instance, the all-important recipe ingredient lists are set to a very light weight font, sub-subheadings too, not enough contrast for quick skimming--especially hard to read in evening light under a lamp when I want to just kick back and ponder the wonderful new strategies. In fact I often hesitate to pick it up when I'd like to. A shame, I thought, given the radically evolutionary ideas included for teaching and learning to use superfoods. Thank you Julie Morris. Can I work with you to help get the sugar out of some of these for a later edition?

Cookbook + wealth of nutritional info
This book is very, very educational about nutrition and the author explains in detail what each veggie, fruit, herbs, seeds, grains, etc do for your body. It is one of those recipe books though that you'll have to go out and buy a lot of ingredients you probably don't have on hand, and then plan your cooking/preparing ahead.
